THE DAME HITS BACK

The Dame is much annoyed by certain comments on the congratulatory piece about local hero, Cllr Henderson....a Labour councillor and a very good one.

Some comments suggest her jottings are inspired by fervour for the Tory Party: nothing could be further from the truth.

You only need to look back at the hounding of the likes of Cockell et al to realise the sheer nonsense of any suggestion of favouritism.

The fact is that some of newer Conservative councillors are actually rather good compared to their predecessors: for that, they should be praised.

The Dame has one criticism of the Chief Executive or, as we nostalgically remember them, 'Town Clerks'.

This current chappie, Doctor Quirk, is so blown up with his self-importance he sees no need to reply to emails from lowly residents who pay him his daily rate of £1000.

Can anyone think of who else would pay this expert on 'public policy'(whatever that is) £1000 a day?

The Dame certainly can't.

Come on, Doctor Q.... don't forget who puts food on your table!

  1. Oh, for Goodness Sake...how can I ever be expected to reply to emails from residents. Their whinings and impertinences so annoy and distract me from my latest academic work to be published later this year. "The Theory and Practice of Public Policy in 1950's USSR"
It will available to residents at the heavily discounted price of £230 per volume( It is a 5 volume set)

Time these over paid and under qualified council chief executives were kicked out. Quite unnecessary appendages

    1. We should have kicked you out years ago, Moylan. Forever trying to turn a penny at the expense of taxpayers

Be warned...any attempt to traduce my reputation for selfless public service will be met by my legal team with gusto. You will notice that one of my sponsors in the Lords was none other than Lord St John, an aristocrat of great antiquity(I mean his provenance; not his age)

  3. The Dame has always been a supporter of what is right and proper. The ones with the nasty comments are the perpetrators of that nastiness, hiding behind a cloak of anonymity. Go Dame , Goodbye Emma Dent Code.

Dr. Quirk came from that Labour bastion- the People's Republic of Lewisham where standards of courtesy with its officials ignoring residents' correspondence is rife.

Glad to hear that Our Gracious and Glourious Lady is not being taken in by the Dent-Coad lobby.

Emma Dent Coad must be the most unpopular local politician ever elected to RBK&C. As she is so disliked, it would be politic if she hung up her mantle. She must be very egotistical to continue in politics when so many dislike her.

  4. Impostors who serve no purpose should go.

Many officers have become 9-5 tenants of their council offices!

Meanwhile the HR payroll increases, allowing ALL officers to delegate down....down....down!

  5. Just a coincidence then.
