BR'UM BOY COMING BACK?

The Dame hears Br'um Boy Moylan is to return to a Cabinet post. The question is what portfolio could the 'aviation specialist' be in line for.
Those who think they are 'in the know' suggest that he could nick the planning portfolio from fellow Oirishman Cllr Ahern.

BR'UM BOY HEADING BACK
Br'um Boy is picking up £120,000 a year. If he gets a Cabinet position he could boost that by another £40,000 or so.

These are all rumours......optimistically....

    1. Cllr Palmer....every time you comment you give yourself away by your well known inability to spell and your idiosyncratic use of the poor old English language.
You poor sick, thick thing...you mean let's hear it-not let's here it!!!

    1. Really? I have noticed that recently his attempts at humour fall rather flat. He is best left out to pasture with BJ's airport lunacy where his rantings can cause little real harm.

  3. As a raconteur perhaps he would like to regale us with his interesting story of his short lived days in the African veldt.........or perhaps that part of his history he finds unamusing.

  4. Its not a Cabinet post either. On this occasion the Dame's radar is getting a fuzzy picture. Brum Boy has been frozen out in the GLA because he has pissed off too many people in a short space of time and Boris does not have to put up with it. The bus drivers son is therefore pining for Hornton Street where he thinks that he can resume his obnoxious ways. And incredibly his supporters are working on his behalf to ease his way back in.

But thanks to the Dame, Officers and colleagues have been alerted

    1. All people of goodwill need to come together to save Hornton Street from another tsunami of bullying and rudeness

  5. Moylan would be a great leader after Cockell. He would make the sleepy Conservative group a harder campaigning group and flatten the weedy socialists.

  6. Exactly WHAT has this person done for local residents? Besides of course wasting millions of pounds on the pit that is now South Kensington. Send him out to sea.

    1. He has been Deputy Leader of one of the best run local authorities in the country.

I am sure you can show a few examples where the council falls short of the title (as any council will) but overall, by any comparable metric the council is an excellent authority.

Moylan must share some of the credit for that.

    2. Isn't the credit for that with Myres and his gang rather than Moylan who is about as credible as he is pleasant.

  7. Flabby and flaccid K&C could do worse than Moylan to tighten things up. The only safeguard needed would be some backbone in the Cabinet to save him from himself (and Council tax payers) when he gets carried away with silly ideas like Exhibition Rd and Sloane Square. Mayor Buckmaster is a declared supporter of Moylan

  8. One of the easiest of UK councils to manage is Kensington & Chelsea.
It owes absolutely nothing to Pooter or Moylan:running the smallest, richest borough in the UK is a stroll in Hyde Park.
Social issues are confined to the north of the Borough-the subject of the Nelson's eye treatment. At the last count the council held something in excess of £170 million of taxpayer's money in reserve gained through over taxing residents.
It has so much income that it can afford to waste it on ludicrous projects like Exhibition Rd; Holland Park School, built at a cost of £100 million and adding not one extra place!
We won't even begin to discuss the evaporation of close to a million on Chelsea Care. As someone has commented Derek Myers runs K&C with a rod of iron and when he tells Pooter to jump Pooter asks 'how high.' So let us put to bed, once and for all, this urban myth.

The return of Moylan to a senior position would be hopeless for staff and councillor morale. He has no concept of how to inspire people to follow him...

  9. Of course Pooter is beholden to Myers. Myers saved him from certain disaster over his ill judged 'paid for holidays' to the US of A. Myers even had the expense policies changed after the event to save Pooter. Pooter has returned the favour by making sure that Myers was properly looked after.

  10. There you have it, the official Hornet Line

Holland Park School is a "ludicrous..... waste of Money".

    1. Try not to appear foolish...Holland Park School is a ludicrous waste of money by the criteria set by Michael Gove. Gove has said that no school should be built exceeding £50 million-HPS is double that limit. Gove also said that new schools should add new places. HPS adds not ONE place. Hope that has sunk into your thick head!!!

    2. Yes and English Hertigage have said the school will damage not one but two Kensington Conservation Areas.

  11. Not a single comment about the quality of education for the Students - instead you quote Gove (who said that way AFTER the decisions were made to go ahead with the new building).

You then try English Heritage (very bad spelling Palmer) that is scrapping the barrel. When English Heritage publicly say Trellick Tower should be demolished, I will listen to them.

The council went ahead with this plan because it was needed and they want the best possible education facilities for the children.

How many of the residents of Campden Hill that oppose this project send their children to state schools? Names and addresses please.

    1. Bit unfair to accuse to accuse Palmer of bad spelling...that really is 'scrapping the barrel'...
You are wrong...there was never a need to spend £100 million. It could have been re-built for £50 million an dthe saving used on Trellick Tower

  12. Do you have evidence for this £50m saving?

    1. There is ample evidence of cost overruns involving millions. The budget should not have exceeded £50 million-quite enough to provide a first class school.

  13. Where is your evidence? or is that just a smear / lie

    1. Palmer. If you could read and add up you would find it in your council papers. The whole concept is a disgrace. Pooter and Buffy at their worst.

  15. One sure benefit of a Moylan Leadership would be the end of the Tri Borough. There would be the usual natural disaster and the other two Boroughs would find it impossible to work with Brum Boy - the end of Pooter's ego trip to further himself and get noticed. Another benefit would be that half the Cabinet would resign and refuse to work with him. The old dross like the two Tims would be on their way to be replaced by young Turks like Cllr Read. A whole new ball game.

  16. There are no benefits of Moylan returning to insult and taunt the people of Kensington and Chelsea. He prides himself on his reputation for abusing others, particularly those he believes defenceless.

    ReplyDelete
  17. So after all that no evidence and just abuse - tells you who is lying

    ReplyDelete
  18. Nasty Local Councillors who leave their Boroughs for the GLA and then screw up there and return to their old haunts, hoping for a further career, almost invariably end up on the scrap heap. Cllr Coleman is a case in point.
