SHIFTY LOOKING POOTER |
Readers will be aware that the Dame and her readers have demanded Pooter Cockell make an unequivocal statement confirming that he had the correct citizenship qualifications to stand as a councillor.
He has been asked to provide this information by a very senior RBKC officer and we are now standing by to see if he will ease the fears that he may never have been qualified to represent Stanley Ward.
Come on, Cockell, show us evidence that you were a British citizen or that you had dual British and S. African citizen during the period SA was not a Commonwealth member.
Ugh
ReplyDeleteDear Dame,
ReplyDeleteI don't think he will show any evidence of his UK citizenship covering the period that South Africa was out of the Commonwealth. If he has committed an offence by serving on the Council when he was not entitled to do so then he should be reported to the authorities.
Which Senior Council Officer has asked for proof of citizenship?
ReplyDeleteI think if her Dameship wanted you to know she would have divulged
DeleteThe gracious noble lady needs prompting some times.
DeleteMy gut feeling is is that Cockell suddenly found himself in a quandary when SA left the Commonwealth so decided to keep quiet. His mother was a Kern from Jo'burg-a Jewish family who probably felt no reason to give up SA nationality. The who thing is mired in mystery. Democracy demands that the truth be outed
ReplyDeletePooter will have to resign from all his Directorships if he is found to have been a naughty boy. Cractus had better start looking for a new Chairman.
ReplyDeleteHow could this have happened, unless there was some collusion? Surely, the process of appointment is to provide all the necessary evidence/documents to satisfy his appointment? How many years did he deceive us all?
ReplyDeleteHe may not have deceived us. He may be kosher. He needs to reassure us that he was genuinely qualified to represent us. In terms of validation the onus is on the candidate to fill in his stuff in good faith.
Delete:-) indeed - 'kosher' in more than one meaning of the word. SO, it is now up to him to convince us. Is he actually obliged to do so? If he does not, what may happen? Nixie,I guess. It all after the fact - let's look for the horse, while we polish the cart.
DeleteI just love the choice of photograph on this page. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteGrotesque in the extreme!
