The Dame is not one to crow.... but last month there were over 70,000 views! This is a record.
The Dame's nephew, Ludo. tells her that many were international.
Some nasty, envious types say that members of the Dame's Holland Park Women's Institute have been tapping away or that she had changed one of her many farms into a 'bot farm'.
So typical of this country to denigrate success.
One day the Dame may even X
RBKC has agreed to issue an eviction notice for three “megaboats” in Chelsea Reach harbour. Cllr James Husband said the megaboats gave a “sense of enclosure” for neighbouring houseboats and would change the outlook of the River. A spokesperson for the Chelsea Yacht and Boat Company, said: “The RBKC Council Leader, planning team and expert legal advisors have all confirmed that no planning breach has occurred with the three vessels involved in this dispute.” The Council now may be open to challenge at appeal, including all the associated costs.
ReplyDeleteChelsea Yacht and Boat Company told the Standard it will appeal the decision “taken by a small group of councillors against the advice of RBKC’s own officers, leader and legal experts”.
DeleteThe Dame has taken forward these comments. This subject has its own full posting.
DeletePowell, Dent Coad and Buchan had better look out. With 70, 000 views in February, the Dame and her Hornets could influence the outcome of the General Election in Kensington - one of the most marginal constituencies in the country.
ReplyDeleteYawn
DeleteDon't be boring, there's a dear!
DeleteDespite the adulation of the masses, the Dame graciously rises above mere party politics. She is a priceless beacon of democratic light in some of the darkest times in our experience.
DeleteDespite any opposition to the dame and her hornets, From the Hornet's Nest will play a significant part in informing voters about the candidates standing at the General Election. There can only be one victor and others will be severely stung, disappointed and ultimately "shafted."

ReplyDeleteGreg Hands is on the wrong side of a divisive debate in Chelsea and Fulham. Other Tories back the measures to curb traffic and introduce clean-air neighbourhoods. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/transport/fulham-low-traffic-neighbourhood-wandsworth-kings-road-fine-council-b1142292.html
ReplyDeleteGreg Hands MP has pushed back on commentary by his colleague, MP Paul Scully, that the Conservative Party is at risk of becoming “the bell ends” of British politics and set to lose the next general election.
DeleteSomeone in Kensington and Chelsea keeps a Savannah cat! https://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/news/24155014.full-list-londons-dangerous-animals-revealed/
ReplyDeleteNot a good idea! Savannahs are a cross-breed between domestic cats and servals, which are native to Saharan countries in Africa.

ReplyDeleteResidents in Kensington & Chelsea are right to be concerned about the remediation of contaminated land at the Project Flourish gasworks site.
ReplyDeleteProject Flourish (Ladbroke Grove) https://www.projectflourish.co.uk/
Zoë Garbett, Green Party Candidate for Mayor of London, and local Green Councillor Mona Adam met with residents on 2 March to hear their concerns about the new housing development. The project by developers Ballymore and Sainsbury’s plans to build 2500 properties on the former Kensal Gasworks site in North Kensington.
DeleteLocal residents have raised concerns about the impact of the development on the local area and questioned whether the plans to clean up the toxic site are sufficient. If the toxic legacy of the gas works isn’t properly dealt with this could have long-term health consequences for both the people moving into the new properties and others in the neighbourhood.
Mona Adam, Green Councillor for Golborne ward, said: “I know from talking to local residents that they have many concerns about this project, and I want to make sure that their voices are heard. I am particularly worried about reports that the developers’ PR companies ‘Just Build Homes’ and ‘Thorncliffe ‘Your Shout’ are contacting residents in their homes and on social media to try to solicit positive feedback on the planning application and then submitting that on the council’s planning site in the name of those residents. This is unprecedented and very worrying, as individual’s views could be wrongly represented in those submissions. I am calling on RBKC planning officers to disallow submissions when they are made on behalf of residents rather than directly by the residents themselves.”
DeleteIs Dent Coad in league with Mona Adam and Zoe Garrett these days?
DeleteEDC uses anyone.
DeleteShe's in with Garbett & Adam and a lot of Labour Councillors.
DeleteKensington and Chelsea council has approved a £100 cost-of-living payment for struggling households and boosted allowances for councillors. The authority backed the one-off May payment for 16,500 struggling households during its budget meeting on Wednesday of last week, while also raising council tax by 4.99 per cent.
ReplyDeleteWill the 3 'invisible' Colville Labour councillors receive this increase in their allowance for their virtually 100% record in ignoring the needs of residents?
ReplyDeleteOf course they will along with evry other self serving, money grabbing, councillor.
DeleteThese bone idle, money claiming, Colville Councillors who ignore the needs of residents are all members of the Labour Party. Were they put in place after others were seen off by the Dent Coad clan?
DeleteIan Henderson, Monica Press and Nadia Nail were the Councillors for Colville Ward before Dent Coad arranged for them to be shafted - Trotskyite style.
DeleteThey were all very hard working and did not take any crap from EDC.
Voters are irrelevant in Colville. EDC's less than lily white hand is behind the current situation. Three hardworking and focused councillors were forced out by the Lady's henchmen. Their replacements are not expected to attend meetings or work for the public good, but to hand their resident funded allowances over to EDC's campaign for world domination.
ReplyDeleteKensington today! Downing Street tomorrow! Obviously.
The very decent, Sir Martin Moore Bick, the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Chairman, treated Emma Dent Coad with the disdain that she deserves. That says it all for me.
DeleteEDC was told by Moore Bick that she was not a "core participant" to the Grenfell Inquiry. She was indignant about being sidelined when she addressed parliament. A newly elected MP with delusions of grandeur.
DeleteEmma Dent Coad is an Corbynite extremist and Sir Martin Moore Bick was not having any of her codswallop. Good on yer, mate!
Delete"Extremist" is right.
DeleteEDC told The Guardian,
.............."My Socialism is Corbyn's Socialism."
Corbyn blamed NATO for Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Cornyn is an apologist for Putin, a former KGB man who worked in the Stasi for a number of years.
EDC's brand of Socialism is not what you call The Voice of Reason - is it.
Mr Moore Bick knows a 'wrong'un' when he sees one. He also knows how to listen and talk to people. He seems to be taking forever; but his investigations must go into many dark places and dubious people. .
ReplyDeleteThere is a "dark" side to all those who were involved with the TMO Board. There was a dark side to those who worked there and who acted perniciously.
DeleteSir Martin has served Notices on those he intends to criticise and the Report should be winging its way to us very soon.
London now has a decent candidate for London Mayor. Count Binface has raised the £10,000 he needed to be able to stand https://www.gofundme.com/f/countbinface2024
