Honoured Dame,
Emma positions herself on the hard left politically. She becomes very stroppy if anyone says she is a Marxist and, even stroppier if someone suggests that she is a Trot. The good people of Kensington recoil in horror at the prospect of a Trotskyite World Socialist Order and Proletarian Control.
Emma gave an interview which was published in The Guardian on the fifth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire.
It was not about the victims and survivors of the fire, it was all about Emma and how the fire affected her personally.
In that interview, she said, “My socialism is Corbyn’s socialism.” We can all think it was stupid of her to brand her socialism in terms of Corbyn’s socialism. It is the sort of crass statement that one forgives if a sixteen-year-old GCSE Politics Student says it but to come from a former Member of Parliament was incredibly simple-minded of Dent Coad. I shall now unpack Corbyn’s socialism to get to the nub of Emma Dent Coad’s socialism.
1. When Corbyn dropped out of his Trade Union Studies course at North London Poly, he espoused the virtues of Workers’ Control and a World Socialist Order. These Trotskyite virtues led to him taking up employment as a Trade Union official campaigning for Workers’ Control - and the so called Workers’ Democracy.
2. When the Labour Leader, Neil Kinnock, wanted to expel the Trotskyite factions in the Labour Party in the 1980s, Corbyn opposed Kinnock every step of the way. The Trotskyite Group, Militant, and those with Militant Tendencies were seen off but not without Jeremy Corbyn trying to save them. Corbyn personally told me back then that, “Clause Four of the Labour Party’s Constitution says that the Labour Party is a socialist party.” Corbyn reminded me that, “As Trots are socialists, there is a place for them in the Labour Party,”
This places Corbyn firmly in the Trotskyite camp and by default Emma Dent Coad with him - remember Emma Dent Coad said, “My socialism is Corbyn’s socialism.”
3. If any of you are in any doubt about Corbyn’s Trotskyite sympathies, and by default Emma Dent Coad’s endorsement of them, did you know that Corbyn proposed the following unequivocal Early Day Motion in the House of Commons calling for Trotsky’s Complete Rehabilitation –
......That this House, in the light of the special conference of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in one week's time, and of the judicial rehabilitation of Bukharin, Zinoviev, Kamenev, Radek and Pyatakov, demands that the Russian Government goes further and gives complete rehabilitation to Leon Trotsky, Leon Sedov the chief defendants in the Moscow frame-up Trials.
It is possible to argue that Trotsky would want to overthrow our Parliamentary democracy but Emma Dent Coad and Jeremy Corbyn both know there is no money in doing that so they are Trotskyites with a bit of fine-tuning for a world eighty years after Trotsky’s death.
I suggest that the foregoing puts Emma in the running as a modern day Rosa Luxemburg.
Miss Trotwood
I was recently talking to a woman schoolteacher who taught both of my kids. She is in the SWP. According to her, the Trots tried to recruit Ms Dent Coad. So I would say to "Trot."
ReplyDeleteOf course she is a Trot. She wants the parliamentary salary and the gold plated pension rights so she compromises her Trotskyite principles and stands for parliament.
DeleteDid Corbyn not attend her launch?
ReplyDeleteHe was washing his beard that night.
DeleteCome on without,
ReplyDeleteCome on within,
You have not seen anything like The Mighty Trot.
Corbyn is spurring her on alright. He is bitter because he has been disqualified as a Labour candidate for his unvarnished antisemitism.
ReplyDeleteDear Dame,
ReplyDeleteHave you ever noticed that the Trots all seem to come from aristocratic backgrounds (like Emma's) or from the upper middle classes (like Corbyn.)
Most of them have been to the best universities and, quite often, top public schools.
I once knew a Trot whose parents owned a beautiful house in Hampstead, NW3. (How I envied his mum and dad with my impoverished Council flat in Golborne.
I know that "envy" and "jealousy" are deadly sins.)
After this guy graduated from Leeds' University, he took a job as a Train Guard on British Rail. He drove me mad talking about railway signals on the East Coast Mainline.
He somehow managed to get a Council flat on the North Peckham Estate in Southwark. He had the cheek to claim he was working class.
If Labour reforms the Business Rates' regime, perhaps, I could ditch my working background and become petit bourgeoisie and open Cafe Trot for the leftists.
Do you think it would work?
Emma Bent-Toad, the Trot who sent her children to a private Boarding School
ReplyDeleteThe Trots are the first to avail themselves of the public school system for their kids. Emma knows that her kids will enjoy privileges and advantages for the rest of their lives courtesy of her cheque book. No socialist would do such a despicable thing.
ReplyDeleteDiane Abbott MP hung Harriet Harman MP out to dry for sending her son to a London Borough of Bromley Boys' Grammar School instead of to Southwark Council's failing Comprehensive School in Peckham.
DeleteDianne Abbott MP, a few years later, sent her son to the City of London Boys' School. This school is a top public school with astronomical fees even though it is owned by a local authority, the Corporation of London. Talk about socialist hypocrisy.
Diane Abbott justified her decision to send her boy to Public School on race grounds. She said, "Once you lose a black boy to a Hackney gang, you have lost him forever." So, there is always the race card to play to justify socialist hypocrisy.
DeleteHer boy went to Public School and on to Cambridge. It did not stop him becoming hooked on Class A drugs. He now lies in hospital under the Mental Health Act; with his top education.
So Diane Abbott changed the environment and took her boy out of the Hackney gang culture but he still ended up on drugs. The Public School system did not do much about teaching him to make good choices.
DeleteMy brother used to run-a-round with a lot of Black guys. One of the men in that gang became his best friend and that is still the case today. This Black man had a thing about drugs and as a consequence my brother always declined them whenever drugs were offered. Win, win, without the expensive education.
It was said that Corbyn, the man of the people, sent his son to a selective school in North London instead of to the local Islington Council comp.
DeleteGood Heavens,
Corbyn, Abbott and Dent Coad, the finest socialists to have ever graced their posteriors on parliament's socialist benches.
I think EDC longed for the indelible hallmark of the public school - Woldingham or Roedean with "Finishing" in Switzerland. It is something she never personally got from a Church School in Hammersmith under the Inner London Education Authority and the Diocese of Westminster. So she made her children got that indelible hallmark of the public school.
ReplyDeleteThe indelible hallmark of the public school - pure metal.
DeleteEDC would be even more snobbish if she had been to Finishing School in Switzerland.
ReplyDeleteCan Miss Dent Coad please supply the documentary evidence going back six hundred years to prove descent from the Borgias and Christopher Columbus?
DeleteDoes anyone know why Emma Dent Coad attended meetings of Momentum but did not pay the fee to join this Group of Marxists / Leftists?
ReplyDeleteI know that she wanted to be in Corbyn's Gang.
Perhaps EDC will explain her thought processes to those of us who voted for her?
Miss Trotwood, you're so funny. Good on yer.
ReplyDeletePriceless!
DeleteEDC did not join Momentum because she did she would be identified as being on the "loony left." Being on the "loony left" would not go down well with the multi-millionaires in
ReplyDeleteKnightsbridge,
South Kensington,
Gloucester Road,
Lexham Gardens,
Cornwall Gardens,
Kensington Square,
Holland Park,
Kensington,
and Notting Hill.
I should imagine she enjoyed meeting all the Marxists and Marxist Revisionists at Momentum and found these hard left socialists intellectually stimulating.
Silly of EDC to think she could pull the wool over the eyes of all of the upper classes in the Kensington.
The Trotskyist Newspaper, Socialist Worker, published this article about why Emma Dent Coad left the Labour Party. They think very highly of her!
ReplyDeletehttps://socialistworker.co.uk/news/why-i-left-the-labour-party-emma-dent-coad/.
I served two years in an East German prison just before the wall came down. There was a Prison Guard who just like Emma in that picture which the Dame has used on this page.
