One of Johnson's more bizarre appointments was of Professor Susan Mitchie to SAGE.
Mitchie and her ex-husband are committed Stalinists: Mitchie herself is a leading member of the Communist Party of Great Britain and, through her Aberconway wealth, a generous sponsor.
Her specialty is 'Behavioural Science'-another way of managing the masses so they do as 'authority' tells them.
It's all rather backfired. Having adopted his Commie friend's ideology Johnson now finds the population is so cowed it's reluctant to leave home and lead a normal life!
This is what the vile Mitchie had to say:
“persuasion” was one of 10 options put forward for increasing adherence to social distancing in the document, and that it involved giving people “an accurate perception of risk and therefore, for some, increasing the personal threat they perceive, along with being empowered to take actions to reduce the threat”.
Johnson provided this wicked woman with a vehicle for her nasty people controlling experiments.
I always mistrusted a redtop. And died redtops are the worst. And this one looks barking as well.
ReplyDeletedo you mean redtops dyed m'Lord?
DeleteA slip of the spell check. Of course she is brain dead
ReplyDeleteHard to understand how a Conservative Government can appoint a person like Susan Mitchie to an influential policy post. This is not what I voted for
ReplyDeleteI would not normally respond or react to local blogs but in this instance I need to correct what is a travesty of the truth. I am not 'a Stalinist member of the Communist Party of Great Britain" and never have been. Yes, I am a member of the CPGB and that has had no bearing on my advice to the Prime Minister.
ReplyDeletePull the other one,
DeleteOh yes you are. What is Stalinism? "Stalinism is associated with a regime of terror and totalitarian rule." & "marked especially by rigid authoritarianism, widespread use of terror,"
DeleteWith the greatest respect, Professor Mitchie, you WOULD say that, wouldn't you?
DeleteProf. Michie, your above statement implies that the claim that you are a 'Stalinist member of the [CPGB]' is half correct so can hardly be a travesty of the truth? Also, so far as I can see the claim did not mention your advice to the PM so why mention this?
DeleteShe looks pretty Stalinist to me
ReplyDeletePlease elaborate on the techniques you use to separate your political leanings from the advice you give to the UK Government. While you are raking through the embers of your brain, you could enlighten us on the best antidote to the level of fear in the population that your advice helped to encourage over the past 14 months.
