CALLING ALL CANDIDATES FOR A FRIENDLY GRILLING!

QUESTIONS TO ANSWER

The Dame is keen to ask all candidates a few questions. Hopefully, they won't be shy and will volunteer.

First up is Miss Rabina Khan from the Rotten Borough of Tower Hamlets.....the Liberal Democrat choice for upmarket Kensington.

"In April 2015, Khan along with the remaining 17 Tower Hamlets First councillors was described by Commissioner Richard Mawrey QC, acting as a judge in an election court investigating Lutfur Rahman's election, as being elected to Tower Hamlets Council "with the benefit of the corrupt and illegal practices".
Although Khan was not implicated in any claims of electoral fraud. In the same month, Khan announced that she will be standing in the election for mayor of Tower Hamlets as an Independent candidate. In June 2015, she came second to Labour candidate John Biggs.
Interestingly, her husband is a close supporter of Rahman"

  • What was her relationship with the electoral fraudster Luftur Rahman, the city boss of Tower Hamlets
  • Why did Rahman endorse her as his mayoral replacement and claim her as his protégée
  • Apart from a short-lived involvement with Grenfell survivors what connection does she have with the remainder of the Constituency
  • Emma DC has been involved in several resident driven campaigns in the south. Why has Miss Khan been so conspicuously absent
  • What does she feel are the main issues facing the constituency
  • Does she support Cable's plan for swingeing property taxes
  • Does she believe the Referendum result should be ignored?
  • Why did she leave the Labour party
  •  She is claimed to have been a driving force behind Tower Hamlets First, which was accused by many of corrupt practice, bullying et

  • How will she explain to the Leaver majority the potential decision by the Lib Dems to cancel Brexit with withdrawing Article 50
  • If elected will she move to the constituency

  1. How about the Dame having a go at that other weird Lib Dem choice in Chelsea and Fulham, Nicola Horlick

I hope you doesn't come with dirty tricks from that swamp of corruption, Tower Hamlets. The Lib Dems must be bonkers

Dame, I am an observer of Liberal Democrat grassroots behaviour and can add two more questions....

    1. does she understand local party anger that she was parachuted in with no selection or hustings, simply because she has the right connections?

    2. Are LDs now anything more than a collection of angry remainers? Are they actually for anything other than stopping Brexit?

  5. Rabina Khan might do better with the Grenfell people than Emma Dent Coad MP. Emma Dent Coad started off doing alright and then went downhill.

    1. There are other issues in the constituency apart from Grenfell. The MP needs to be able to cover all bases and have an impeccable reputation. Running with Rahman is not a good indicative of probity....

    2. But Emma does not have all bases covered. She been almost silent in the House over Brexit. I know someone who asked her for help and they did not get it. She's inconsistent and unpredictable. We've tried Emma and it has not been good so Rabina would be worth a try. As for "probity" Emma is the one who proclaimed publicly that she was giving up her Councillor's Allowance. She then sneakily started drawing it again without proclaiming publicly that she was back on board the double dipping gravy train.

    3. Emma has never impressed me.

    4. Emma Dent Coad MP is not good on Diversity and Race Equality issues. Rabina Khan is different and "worth a try."

    5. The only diversity Khan supports is one that cements the grip of Bangladeshi councillors on councils.

    6. Rabina has not made racist remarks or insulted a black person.
Rabina does not sneer at people or derive snob value from claiming to be of a high class aristocratic lineage.
Rabina's party is not led by a middle class Antisemitic Marxist.

    7. 11.43 is right. EDC is bad at all the things mentioned.

  6. 'Explain to the 'Leaver majority'? Erm 'upmarket Kensington' folk were savvy enough to overwhelmingly back Remain. Millions of Leavers having since 2016 shuffled off this mortal coil, the smarter move for L.Dems would be to back a confirmatory ref that pits Bozo's deal (for what it's worth) v Revoke & Remain - the option non-partisan polls show is now the majority view.

    1. Dimwitted one.... so you agree with Lib Dem policy of ignoring the first referendum result and just revoking Article 50? You sound crass

  7. So, Mrs Khan has decided not to take up the dear old Dame's challenge?
It bodes badly for constituents if a young parliamentary candidate cannot answer a few simple questions from a frail old woman.
Still, in her Tower Hamlets 'hood councillors are unchallenged hence the appalling record of corruption and electoral fraud. No one accuses Khan of this but you are judged by the company you keep and the company she kept stunk.

    1. Goodness, gracious me. Fairness please good lady. If you have questions in your arsenal to ask Rabina Khan surely you must have a whole host of questions for our sitting MP, Emma Dent Coad, whose tenure has been controversial and reactionary to say the least.

Emma has been an embarrassing loud mouth reactionary. The trouble is she thinks the insults and abuse that she issues are radical. Will she get in again?

    1. "Dross" is a very apt description of EDC.

  10. The next election is either Boris Johnson and the Reactionary Right or Jeremy Corbyn and the Loony Left.

There is another way Vote Lib Dem, Vote Rabina Khan.

We need to be on the attack with Emma Dent Coad who rubbished the Lib Dems at the last election. We need to be ready to show her up this time - not too difficult because we now know what she is really like.
