THE MYSTERIOUS CHANNEL ISLANDS BASED DEVELOPER SUPPORTING THE DELANCEY APPLICATION


                                             Mr Adams, I presume?

Robert Adams is a Channel Islands-based property developer with interests in Eardley Crescent alongside mysterious Asian investors, Mr and Mrs Poon.

Interesting the ONLY SUPPORTER the developers could rake up at the second planning meeting was the CI based Robert Adams who owns a "share of the freehold of Nos 1 & 3 Eardley Crescent" and is apparently the "DEP CHAIR OF EARDLEY CRESCENT RESIDENT'S ASSOCIATION"

One wonders how many residents of Eardley Crescent are actually members or even aware of the association's existence, as Mr Adams said that it had, "until recently been moth-balled for 7 years"!

He stated: "WE".... (by which I presume he means the residents of Eardley Crescent, rather than the Royal 'We') are supporters of the scheme"

Guess who also owns flats at Nos 1 & 3 Eardley Crescent ?????

Yes, you guess it.... THE DEVELOPER !!! so ROBERT ADAMS you are  NOT A CREDIBLE WITNESS

NOTES:
In April 2015, two of the flats are sold to Earls Court Partnership Ltd, of which Earls Court (London) LLp owns 63% and Ttl Earls Court Properties Ltd owns 37% since November 2019. Previously, the majority owner was Capital & Counties Properties Plc. It seems that one of the flats they bought belonged to one of the former directors, Kerstin Ingham, while the other was bought from another shareholder, Sally Ann Groenendijk-Trigues, as their 2 shares were transferred to new owner on the same day (2015-04-06).

    1. he was but there is very little time to speak, he is a leashoilder in a flat he spoke on his behalf , how many objections were there , do you think RBKC passed thjis application due to one person saying they would rather have something than continue with nothing ?

  2. I often visit FTHN and there have been some good articles. I have to say this article I find to be unfair, Mr Adams may come from the Channel Islands but he lives in London and owns the lease on his flat, he works in property, conversions etc but let’s not paint him as another Capco or Delancey, if we do that then we better include anyone who works on renovating properties

    Re the mention of ECRA, well if you were better informed you would know like I do from having watched the planning meeting online that he was speaking on his own behalf , he mentioned that he was Deputy Chair of ECRA yes but he did not speak for them, and from speaking to people ECRA do want to see a development go ahead after being blighted for years by a dustbowl that used to be the exhibition site and the old pub site now demolished on the corner of the Crescent, none including Mr Adams are happy with the height but they want something, you will I am sure have heard Mr Adams state that he and others wanted to see more homes for Key Workers on the site etc

    As for who knows ECRA exists. That RA was doing very little for many years, it is now very active, it has applied for grants to clean the streets as it is a very busy cut through, worked hard to get rid of dealers and ASB on behalf of all the residents, tackling rubbish dumping, and generally to make the street a better place for all to live.

    The entire street has been leafleted many times to encourage people to join and many have there is a large mailing list along with regular meetings which have been held via zoom during lockdown and Mr Adams has often been walking in the street and encouraging new people moving in to join and existing residents as well, you cannot force people to join associations.

    So, whilst I enjoy FTHN this time I think it’s been badly informed, and lets also not forget what role Planning Councillors had in this, they stated if it was any other ward the development would not have got permission but as its earls Court it did, what does that tell you about RBKC attitude to the Earls Court ward ?

    1. Let me get this clear. Mr Adams supported the construction of a mega tower block within a Conservation Area? Are you naive? By mentioning that he was dep chair of an RA...moribund or not, he gave the impression he represented the views of his members. It gave Adams a credibility he never deserved.

    2. The council had alerady received the letter from the residents association which supported a build but not the height , if people prefer to believe whats on this site then thats their business.

  3. For clarity Mr Adams does not live in the Channel Islands he is from the CI , he lives in Eardley Crescent , so please advise your source they have scored 1/10 for research in this case

    1. The fact that you are bleating on behalf of Adams shows how weak his position is. How do we know whether he pays tax in the CI or not?

    2. he pays tax here as does his small company, he is no big developer as the Dame has been incorrectly informed, those who live in the area know him and know better and he and his sister jointly own one flat in which he lives

      many of us are not happy about the development but want something as opposed to years more of nothing. And for your info Delancey owns the long leases on a few flats in two builings, they got them when they along with TFL and APG bought the Capco shares in earls Court as Capco had purchased flats where light might be affected by their development . Delancey have not purchased any further flats at all

  4. It is very rare to have a resident support a building right next to their home, losing your mind from noise, dust & vibrations. Keltbray even worked at night so residents were having to withstand 24 hour works!

    One should ask Dicky if he will be staying at Eardley Crescent during construction or whether he has been paid so he can revamp elsewhere during that time, or offered a handsome offer for the residence.

    These are important questions; once again Conservative councillors have backed the wrong horse. Remember Spalding has CapCo's egg on his face!

    1. Why would a resident support the loss of light from the sun.

      Residents homes will lose light coming into their homes and gardens from this megalith!

    2. Spalding led on the objections to the Old Brompton Road development at the Planning Committee hearing, and made the strongest case against the 9-storey height.

      The Officers and Chairman accepted his point that this caused harm.
