We cannot allow this government and the Mayor to push us around.
The Council bowed to the wishes of residents and the business community and is now being attacked for doing the right thing.
The Dame will be writing to Cllr Thalassites and activetravel@rbkc.gov.uk confirming her deep opposition to cycle lanes in Kensington High St and we should all write to
confirming our support for its decision to end this failed experiment

All the Resident Associations and the Kensington Society are in a panic that RBKC has taken fright of the Mayor and is about to re install the cycle lanes.
ReplyDeleteThere is a GLA Election next year and a Mayor's election. Cycle lanes have been turned into a political football with RBKC rooting for Shaughn Bailey (detested by EDC) and Tony Devenish who have ambitions in City Hall
The whole charade is pathetic. Cycles are not a Party Political issue. Local Government should be about local administration with common sense, majority supported, decisions. This whole saga is a self inflicted wound by Hornton Street Leader, dizzy Campbell
Its time to put dizzie out to grass
