Mr. Moylan |
Over croissants and devilled kidneys the Dame's host, The Earl of G*********, reassured the old thing that this was well-nigh impossible on the basis he was universally loathed and had(very) bad form.
Anyway, the Dame thought she should do 'fact check' and called Cllr Julie Mills who soon put her straight.
"What a stupid idea, Dame. The man is a leading member of the anti-EU Bruges Group; plus the fact that I intend to put myself forward so he doesn't stand a chance."
Daniel is very jealous of Pooter Cockell's money-making activities especially as he claims to be the planning expert.
There is no chance that ex Cllr Moylan will be selected as PPC for the Conservative party. He has "form" and is blacklisted from the Candidates List. Also, many Tory MP's lost their seats at the last General Election and are hungry to return to the House. They have returned to the Candidates List and any sign of the likes of Moylan trying to join the fray will be dealt with in the way that politicians know best - whispering, briefing, character assassination and extermination.
ReplyDeleteRIP
The Dame's dreams should remain exactly that. Dreams.
DeleteEven bad dreams should remain private and be consigned to the waste paper basket.
Oh, dear me. The poor Dame is obviously trying to introduce some futile economies into her life. One thing is a cert: forgo the Vin de Cahort, which causes these ghastly nightmares and stick to Chateau Margot - whato...
DeleteWhat a silly dream by the Dame. She might as well suggest disgraced ex Cllr Fielding-Mellen as our next MP
DeleteBad dream Dame. It wont happen
ReplyDeleteWhat a nightmare Dame!!
DeleteWas your fact finding with Cllr Mills also a dream?
If Moylan wants to be an MP, Kensington will be high on his list. Almost a dead cert Conservative seat at the next election and sitting MP Emma Dent-Coade (majority of 20) will return to the local Council as a Labour Councillor in Hornton Street.
ReplyDeleteSo far, 23 Conservatives (including 7 locals) have declared an interest in the seat. The Kingmaker is Andrew Foster, Chairman of Kensington, Chelsea and Fulham Conservatives. He was personally chosen by ex Chairman Cllr Julie Mills to succeed her. It is unclear what his attitude to Cllr Moylan is.
Foster is a shady figure. Not much known about him - a Chairman who emerged from the shadows.
When Victoria Borwick was selected to represent Kensington two elections ago, there was a gigantic struggel between the local Association (Chairman Cllr Mills) and Conservative Central Office about the nomination list. Central Office had its favourites and Mills wanted a local candidate. By a whisker, Borwick (a local candidate) made it through to the short list and subsequently had a landslide victory when the Association members voted. The Central Office candidate retired hurt, but then David Cameron sent her to the House of Lords.
Moylan knows Kensington. He took an early position backing Grenfell residents and publicly told Council Leader Paget-Brown that he should quit. Moylan's prospects depend on Andrew Foster's attitude.
ReplyDeleteIs there a deal to be done? A trade? An understanding?
What drives Andrew Foster????
A deal? Certainly YES... the rest will follow, including the allegations of brown envelope passing. What drives Mr Foster? Money, greed, deluded self?
DeleteThough Moylan is working class-despite the odd accent, he is Birmingham work class and doesn't have much time for the class he left behind...class traitor
DeleteAndrew Foster is about to exercise power for the first time in his life. Managing the selection process of the next MP for Kensington. He has just started to become intoxicated by the realisation that his life is about to peak and will be snuffed out again in about two years time.
ReplyDeleteWho is this guy? Nothing is known of him
Mr Moylan should keep a very low profile. Nasty man with too much baggage.
ReplyDeleteI am much more interested to find out something about Andrew Foster. He will shortly produce the shortlist for our next MP for Kensington. This "pre selection" is the critical part of the whole process and the power is concentrated in him.
DeleteWill it be a resident focused exercise? Or the accustomed horse trading with residents out of sight and out of mind.....
Moylan could be on the shortlist of 3 if Andrew Foster wants a sacrificial goat to help his favoured candidate secure the Conservative Association vote. The 300 or so Kensington Association members who turn up for the final selection vote will NEVER support ex Cllr Moylan
DeleteWise residents should understand that a Labour MP in Kensington is the best way to hold the Tory controlled Council to account. A Conservative MP will never oppose or criticise a Conservative Council. Like her or loath her, EDC is the sensible resident option.
ReplyDeleteUnless we have a democratically elected Mayor.
Who is Andrew Foster?
ReplyDeleteNothing on the web about Foster, except abuse from "This Is North Kensington"
ReplyDeleteNothing on the Conservative website about Andrew Foster. No CV. Not even a photo. Bad vibes for wielding public power. What does the guy have to hide?
ReplyDeleteAccountability? Transparency? Come on Tories:
Amazing. Seems that hardly anyone knows what Andrew Foster is about. The Chairman of Kensington, Chelsea and Fulham Conservatives is a throw back to one of those shadowy figures in smoke filled rooms who is about to make the biggest decision of his life affecting all of the residents of Kensington.
ReplyDeleteCome on Tories, join the 21st Century. Put Andrew's CV and a photo on your website.
Anrew Foster is a close friend of Cllr "Mad Dog" Palmer. Palmer was given his own desk at 44 Southern Row, W10, for the duration of the last Local Election
ReplyDeleteHopefully Chairman Foster reminded his friend Cllr Palmer not to make private telephone calls to Australia (paid for by Conservative Association Members) which was an unfortunate misdeed discovered at 1A Manor Street
DeleteCllr Palmer was the cornerstone of the recent Conservative triumph in the local elections and masterminded the strategy to win and drove the campaign priorities
DeleteThe appalling grammar tells us this self lauding comment is from the awful and dimwitted Palmer!
DeleteAlso total drivel. As usual Mr Palmer went round upsetting people.
DeleteBut we one. Thumping win.
DeleteBut we 'one'??? Up Yours is Cllr Palmer who is desperate to become chair of the Education Committee. Sadly he didn't 'one'.
DeleteDoes the Dame know anything about Andrew Foster?
ReplyDeleteUnusual and annoying silence from the Dame
ReplyDeleteHow DARE you take that tone with the Dame. The Dame only mixes at grandee level with the Rotten Borough thus she would know nothing about a mere association chairman
DeleteWell the Dame needs to start digging - Foster is a shady chap with lots to hide
DeleteWhat do YOU know then Resident @10:38? Care to share? I say this because nothing seems to be available so far.
