Here's another trougher. This time an ex Met Commissioner
'Milord' Hogan-Howe is always 'investigating' ways to turn a bob or two to supplement his paltry £100k a year pension and the £45 k a year from the Lords.
It now appears that H-H was being paid £100k a year by that dodgy Aussie, Lex Greensill, whilst at the same time working in the Cabinet Office.
When asked what the f***k he thought he was doing the ex Plod pompously replied that he was involved only in 'product development'.
We know that senior coppers have ideas above their station but how can a policeman have much idea about 'financial products'?
No wonder the investigative media were pleased to see the back of this BULLY
This is just appalling. A policeman too!
ReplyDeleteA interesting read is The Untouchables by Michael Gillard. Which chronicles the secret squads set up in Scotland Yard to investigate (or not) the widespread corruption there. Hogan-Howe frequently features in this.
ReplyDeleteMichael Gillard was the best investigative journo
ReplyDeleteIf one telephoned the Metropolitan Police when Hogan Howe was Commissioner, one was connected to an automatic message saying,
Delete"I'm Bernard Hogan Howe, Metropolitan Police Commissioner."
Product development?
