If being very thick was a good entitlement for a political career Lee Anderson would be superbly well qualified.

His CV is scant....he claims to have been a miner yet there is no real evidence of that. 

Even were it true so what? 

Does he think that makes him some sort of working-class hero?

Apart from that he and his wife were long-time Labour councillors.... presumably living on their joint allowances.

Oh, and he was a volunteer at the Citizens Advice Bureau for 12 years. 

One feels pity for victims having to listen to his dimwitted advice.  

We all understand there is a serious issue with extreme Islam but a fool like Anderson is not the cure.

Reform UK should keep him at arm's length: he would be a liability and prove immaturity of judgment on the part of Richard Tice were he to be recruited.

We have developed proposals to make it safer and easier to cycle and walk and cycle between Shepherd’s Bush Green and the Holland Park Roundabout.

 

Holland Park roundabout is a high priority location for safety improvements due to the significant number of collisions that occur. In the three-year period to May 2023 there were 54 collisions resulting in 59 people being hurt, including 14 cyclists and pedestrians, six of them seriously. For this reason, the junction has been placed on the Mayor’s Safer Junctions programme.

 

We would like your feedback on proposals to introduce a new high-quality Cycleway around the southern side of the Holland Park Roundabout, as well as improvements for pedestrians. We would like to know how these proposals might impact you as you travel into or through the area.

SHAPPS....SCRAPING THE GUN BARREL

Shapps the charlatan

Sunak scraped the barrel in appointing the charlatan, Grant Shapps to run defence. 

The Dame has written about the man's integrity bypass. 

To give this most serious of jobs to Shapps is a slap in the face.

A few days ago our prime means of nuclear defence suffered serious defects. We all now know..... as do our enemies.

When we had serious government the Secretary of State for Defence would have slapped on a D Notice preventing publicity.

These days we have a DSMA-Notice 02: Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Weapon Systems and Equipment.

Shapp's instinctive action should have been to protect us by implementing this notice. He is a national disgrace.

You regard yourself as a political savant but you have been all at sea regarding the surge in support for Reform UK. 

Your lack of interest in Reform UK shows how limited your knowledge of politics is.

I count Ben Habib as a close friend. He is also a K& C resident. 

At the recent Wellingborough by-election, Ben knocked the Lib Dems into 4th place!

I have known him since his early 20's. At that time he was the youngest FD of a quoted company. 

He is now a highly successful business leader with a no-nonsense approach to getting things done.

If Reform UK can attract those of the calibre of Ben then both Labour and Conservatives face a serious threat.

Stop being so partisan and give oxygen to a party that is gaining massive traction.

Dear Dame,

Do you agree with Sir Jacob? He says that the right-wing rump of the Tory Party should join forces with Reform UK to bar Sir Keir from Downing St.

Sounds pretty daft to me. Reform UK knows that the Tory right is predominately made up of daft old fools who have never had any influence over policy.

I was talking to a senior Reform UK bloke who said the ambition is to destroy the Tories not join them.

By the way, why did Mr Farage not come and campaign for the Reform UK candidates? Was he keeping his options open?

If one is rabidly anti Jewish then going on a demo like this is the perfect cover for your hatred of the Jews.

K&C...CUT THE BULLSHIT & BUSINESS RATES!

Most councillors and officers don't have a clue about business. If they did they would understand that having to pay a 40% of rental value in business rates is a killer. But why would the Council want to change things? Of the 100%  raised RBK&C gets a 25% kickback. 

This reception to 'celebrate' Borough business was hosted by the Mayor. What was the point? God only knows.

Joe Powell tells the Dame that Business Rates are unfit for purpose and Labour will be scrapping them.

Conservatives have 14 long years to deal with this greedy and unfair tax and yet have done nothing....so much for being the 'party of business'!

One predecessor he does mention is Mike French.

PIGEONS TARGET CHANEL

 

Dear Dame,

There I was innocently trying to post a get-well card to a dear friend when I found the letter box sealed off and looking like an action painting by Jackson Pollock. 

While standing there in bemusement, it hit me: no, not an idea but the first cluster bomb dropped by the flock of incontinent pigeons roosting in the lone tree in front of Gloucester Road Station. 

That was just the beginning of the barrage ...

What is this !? 

Contrary to a public misconception, pigeon poo is NOT lucky, but stinky , disgusting and potentially can carry over 50 communicable diseases and parasites.

But why are the pigeons roosting in that inconvenient place? Because there never seems to be a shortage of fools, self-appointed "wildlife guardians", who take it upon themselves to drag large bags of stale bread and the like to the station forecourt to feed our "poor feathered friends" and whose left-overs provide a welcome smorgasbord for the nightly rat population.Strange how they never feed the pigeons in front of their own houses.

Sadly the Council's response to this health hazard has been consistently feeble:a small sign admonishing the dyed-in-the-wool pigeon fanciers not to feed the pigeons, when enforced PSPOs would be more appropriate ...

Darling Dame, do you have any ideas? Pray tell. In the meantime, please do not be surprised, if you spot me in that locale brandishing an open umbrella even on a sunny day ... Pigeon poo is so dreadfully hard to remove from one's Chanel jacket.

The Dame was equivocating about whether to vote for Keir Starmer but when a property developer is quoted thus....

BADLY LISTING COUNCIL

Guy Oliver fought tooth and nail to save the last perfect Art Deco cinema in High Street Ken.

The Council could have listed it but did nothing. 

Now an Indian developer has smashed it to pieces.

Contrast the Odeon with this nondescript pub in Earls Court Road, The Boltons.

To try to ingratiate itself with the gay community and get a few votes, the Council led by the extremely foolish Cllr Campbell fought to have it listed because officers felt the following. 

"The Boltons, on Earls Court Road, has been added to the Historic England register in recognition of the pub's elaborate "Flemish Revival" style and interior features such as its staircase and upper floor guest rooms. 

Historic England also acknowledged the pub's role in the capital's LGBTQ+ history, including serving as a respite for gay people in the mid-1950s and being part of Earl’s Court’s thriving gay scene throughout the 1970s and 80s. "

The K&C gay community is probably getting rather tired of being treated as if they were a race apart by a cynical council looking for votes.

CONTEMPT OF COURT CASE: SCOTT DYLAN & ASSOCIATES IN APRIL

"A court date of January 25, 2025, has been agreed for a civil case brought by Barclays Bank against a Manchester-based businessman and his associates over £13.7m it claims they took from the bank without authorisation and for their “personal enrichment”.

Barclays Bank has a claim against Scott Dylan, Gareth Dylan, Sally Ann Glover and David Antrobus. 

A second claim is brought against Fresh Thinking Group (now known as Old3 Limited), its chief executive Jack Mason and Inc Travel Group Limited (now known as Old2 Limited) which are both now in compulsory liquidation.

Barclays’ case is that all the individual defendants, other than Gareth Dylan, were also involved in a conspiracy to cause damage to Barclays by unlawful means. The defendants deny the conspiracy allegation and are contesting the claims made by Barclays.

Another hearing has been scheduled for April 29, 2024 with Barclays claiming that the defendants breached a global freezing order and are therefore in contempt of court.

The claims arise from the transfer, by subsidiaries of Fresh Thinking Group, of some £13.7m from accounts held with Barclays which, at the time, had no or no material credit balance. 

Barclays says that there were some 830 payments of amounts just below the £50,000 threshold that would have caused the payment requests to have been referred for further approval.

Barclays says that the money went to Fresh Thinking Group and one of its other subsidiaries, FT Ops Limited before onward disbursement and the “personal enrichment” of the defendants."

SCOTT DYLAN ....A LOSER LOSES

Scott Dylan, aka Reece Dylan aka Scott Widington currently being pursued by Barclays for the return of £14 million tried to close down the Hornet. He claimed he knew people at Google.

He failed to destroy this community asset. 

Last month the Hornet achieved viewings of over 50,000...a historic record and proof that bad guys lose in the end.

The Dame has been provided with a mass of information concerning the life of this wicked man. It is not for those of a delicate nature.

BUCHAN MEETS HUNT WITH GOOD IDEAS

 

This government has made no allowance for the impact of inflation on house price growth. This has especially hit normal people living in the constituency so her suggestion that the principal residence should not attract Inheritance Tax makes utter good sense. So, to does lowering stamp duty. 

When Felicity met up with the Chancellor she made the following sensible suggestions: let's hope he was in listening mode. 

Here they are...

• lowering the top end rates of stamp duty which are a tax on social mobility and which are a real disincentive for people to move, whether downsizing or upsizing
• removing the principal residence from Inheritance Tax
• reducing Income Tax
