BOSS OF LLOYDS AND HIS POLITICAL AGENDA

Charlie on the left

Why is Charlie Nunn so keen to cosy up to Labour?
The Dame has a thought.

Directors behind Lloyds Development Capital, the bank's private equity arm, make multimillions a year.

Private equity tycoons are taxed in a remarkably generous way. The last thing Charlie wants is the rules changing and the flight of his Masters of the Universe.

Could this be what he is lobbying Rachel Reeves over?

Several Lloyds employees earn ten times more than the CEO doing private equity deals.

  1. People like Charlie Nunn, Jim Ratcliffe or John Caudwell have switched sides because Labour are going to win. Simples!

    1. Stop being so irritatingly patronising. We all now the reason why Ratcliffe has switched because Starmer will sort out EU chem issues for Ineos; Nunn needs to keep his golden egg layers and no gives a stuff about the vile Caudwell

  3. Invalidation someone’s argument because of a misspelled or misused word is a lame cop out. A lot of the time on FTHN when serious topics are being discussed, people will invalidate an entire argument because someone misuses (your / you’re) or (they’re / their / there) or accidentally misspells a word. Debate the facts, not unintentional spelling mistakes. It’s extremely petty.

    1. When one commentator expresses disdain for another for a spelling mistake and makes the same error himself his argument is likely to questioned on the basis that he is a dolt

  4. Reform is going to torment Labour. Farage is going to make life hell for Starner. Up Reform
