'PROFESSOR' COLERIDGE ON MANOEUVRES........
A resident association, close to Sutton Dwellings, pleaded with Tim Coleridge to include it within the Conservation Area....after all, the world renowned architectural academic, Professor Landow, described them in the following way:" Looking at the Sutton Dwellings in Chelsea suggests an additional point of some importance: the housing created by such philanthropic trusts turns out — in both architectural and human terms — to be far more successful that most later council housing. These buildings fit in very well with the Norman Shaw-built and inspired buildings of Chelsea and Kensington."
It's clear 'Professor' Coleridge disagrees with Professor Landow and the 11,000 residents who petitioned to save this remarkable piece of interesting, old and fast disappearing Chelsea.
Coleridge has already signed off plans to lay waste to the much praised and loved Malborough Primary School.
The Dame will soon explain why, all those months back, Cllr Coleridge refused to protect Sutton Dwellings.
It's all rather squalid....

Coleridge has been promoted way beyond his ability. His purpose in life is to try and impress a high achieving father and a high achieving brother. He craves recognition. He is trying to do this as a local Councillor. The Leader is indulging a dangerous set of ambitions - he has promoted Coleridge to a position in the Cabinet in charge of Planning and supports a colleague without the ability to discharge the roll.
ReplyDeleteThis is not to say that Tim is not the most charming person. As that other beacon of intellect, Cllr Elizabeth Rutherford, will attest.
Cllr Tim "Putin" Coleridge loves to strip down and get himself photographed topless riding horses in Argentinean ranches. He even puts the ridiculous photos on Facebook.
DeleteCllr Coleridge is 73 years old.
Lets see the pics
DeleteReptile Coleridge has been reading the Hornet because he has replaced his topless photo on Facebook with a different one showing him on horseback with a blue sweatshirt. For those who feel cheated, our Old Etonian lothario is very pink and hairless. And rather chubby. And man boobs much in evidence. And he looks rather uncomfortable in his Putin pose.
DeleteIt is faintly ridiculous when old men try to pretend they are virile cowboys in Wild West movies. Cllr Coleridge is 83.
Cllr Elizabeth Rutherford is fuming that her "pash" is being ridiculed in this way. But the old girl should remember that the ridicule is self inflicted.
Cllr Rutherford's eyesight is not too good - but the information that her "pash" can be spied topless has propelled her into a hot flush. How cruel of the Cabinet Member for Planning to remove this innocent temptation from our oldest Councillor.
DeleteCllr Rutherford is 103 years old.
Cllr Coleridge, who lists his career on Facebook as "Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Eton" is toying with the idea of replacing his "Putin pic" with a Passport Photo.
DeletePrick
We look forward to hearing the Dame's scoop on Sutton dwellings. It smells like a rats nest.
ReplyDeleteLet no one forget that when disgraced ex Cllr Phelps was challenged by a resident at the Standards Committee regarding his use of offshore Trusts in the BVI to hide properties in Kensington that he had acquired, Committee Member Cllr Coleridge sprang to Phelps' defense and announced that "these arrangements are quite common and nothing to worry about"
DeleteQuite so. Lloyds of London, that infamous centre of probity, educated Tim.
DeleteIf Coleridge had put Sutton into a Conservation Area then he would have had egg on his face because he would have had to reverse his Marlborough School decision. A classic "Yes Minister" moment for the Officers in Hornton Street in cahoots with the developers. "Cabinet Member, Sir, you cannot do this. The credibility of your Department is at risk of public ridicule. And you will be a laughingstock in the newspapers"
ReplyDeleteWhat will my family think? thought Coleridge. To hell with Sutton dwellings........
Has Coleridge been lying to the residents of Chelsea about what he knows about the plans for the Sutton Estate, or is he just an incompetent Tim "nice but dim."
ReplyDeletePEACEFUL PROTEST TUESDAY 7TH JULY
ReplyDelete4.30-5.00PM OUTSIDE PETER JONES (King's Rd side)
PLEASE JOIN US IN SAYING "NO!" TO THE DEMOLITION OF MARLBOROUGH!
And yet again our Councillors are shown to be working against the interests of the residents and in the pockets of the developers.
ReplyDeleteIf this is true, it will show Coleridge up as a dishonest, undemocratic, mediocrity.
If Coleridge is trying to take Cockell's title as the most reviled Councillor in the borough he's doing a very good job of it.
ReplyDeleteHe might not be winning yet, but definitely up there with the repulsive Warwick.
Eagerly awaiting Dame's sordid revelations.....:-)
ReplyDeleteDim Tim has been carried away by puffing. Loves to give interviews and feel important about the Council new policy on basements which limits their size to one floor deep and 50% of the garden. And no basements for listed properties.
ReplyDeleteBefore the ink is even dry on this new policy Coleridge and Warrick have approved a double basement in listed 30 Thurloe Square owned by the Omani Arabs.
A joke if it was not all happening on the back of Council Tax.
Coleridge is the new ' Pooter'
ReplyDeleteWell, well, well, - this is not going to go down well with the loyal Tory voters in Stanley Ward . Just who are these Councillors representing !
ReplyDeleteSNAKE !
ReplyDeleteThe Cats out the bag . At least we can now see behind the cheery fat faced , rosy cheeked facade of this so called ' caring councillor '. I can think of another 'c' word in front of the word 'councillor ' for ' Mr Coldfridge' but i doubt the dame would keep my comment up !
ReplyDeleteIf the local council are looking to add support to the 'no ' to Crossrail 2 Campaign - they have just done an excellent job of adding most of the residents of the Sutton Estate to that Campaign
ReplyDeleteTim is an excellent chap ! Why people don't want to get rid of these scroungers that live on The Sutton Estate is beyond me !Much better to have a few Arab Princes roaring round the area for a couple of months , rather than have those 'estate' lowlifes making the area untidy. More foreign investors mean less strain on council resources. Less people in Local Restaurants ( i have had terrible trouble getting a table on a Saturday night). Why don't those on the Sutton Estate see that life will be much better in Peterborough - they have all the amenities they need, There's a Job Centre, Burger king, Poundland and the transport links to the capital are really quite good. I think we should consider the re-introduction of 3rd Class on the railways so we can make it cheaper for them to get to work. For the majority of those travelling in and out of London everyday , it will seem like a school trip - how lucky is that. Keep up the good work Tim - the sooner we get rid of this lot to The 'Northern Powerhouse ' the better .
ReplyDeleteHow Scandalous - a job centre !- there are lots of jobs on estates in the Peterborough area. We are desperately short of Grouse Beaters and servants !
DeleteAgain, no point in trying to have a constructive dialogue with local councillors .A waste of time - they seem to be working to another plan altogether - vote for us - and then we will completely ignore you. London Elections coming up . The Tories lost Scotland , could RBKC be next !
ReplyDeleteThe Councillors are a small "in crowd" who belong to the Town Hall Club.
DeleteAnyone who attended the recent "Mayor Making" of Cllr Freeman at the Council Meeting in May would have witnessed an event of pomp, grown men in fancy robes, a jolly for friends, and an event that is totally divorced from the reality of what is happening and what is important in the Royal Borough.
Followed by an another year of a bombed out Councillor puffing in the Bentley and feeling like the cats whiskers.
Time for the Royal Borough to join the 21st Century
The trouble with most parts of this Borough is that you could pin a blue rosette to a chimpanzee and it would get elected
DeleteThe council's intentions are plain to see. They passed a motion on the 24th of June 2015 to redevelop all low density social housing in Kensington and Chelsea. The motion has a lot of irrelevant froth about "Victorian streets" and the word "try" does not guarantee residents any secure housing. The intention is to mislead the most vulnerable and to sell off public assets to developers. https:// www.rbkc.gov.uk/committees/Meetings/tabid/73/ctl/ViewMeetingPublic/mid/69/Meeting/6848/Committee/1535/Default.aspx
ReplyDeleteYes. Under agenda.
DeleteThey have kept this very quiet.
Deletedisgusting.
DeleteNow we know their true intentions. To socially cleanse Kensington and Chelsea.
DeleteVery interesting proposal. The council seems to agree for their own tenants that any redevelopment will only go ahead if there is an increase in social housing. They seem not to care if housing association tenants are socially cleansed from the borough.
DeleteOur Council really are a squalid bunch of mediocrities, whose leadership are either liars or grossly incompetent.
Do not be fooled. They are intent on socially cleansing all social housing tenants. Nick Pagett-Brown stated publicly last year at an Ask Nick event "the biggest obstacle to middle bracket earners buying into Kensington and Chelsea are life long tenants and right to buy lessees" His reference to middle bracket earners is an intention to increase "affordable housing". "Affordable Housing " in Kensington and Chelsea will not be affordable to the larger public. The protection that social tenants are afforded as long life tenants will disappear as they will all be reassessed when made a single new offer.
DeleteWill the dame elucidate us with the full story?
ReplyDeleteYes. Thinking about it.
DeleteCouncillors need to be reminded frequently that when they behave in underhand and dishonest ways they will be exposed, ridiculed and brought to account by the hornets.
ReplyDeleteCabinet Members and puffers come under intense scrutiny and the stings will be merciless when they step out of line. The Chairman of Planning, Cllr Warrick, is on permanent watch.
Certain Officers are also on the radar. The new Director of Planning, Mr Graham Stallwood, is receiving close scrutiny. He bungled his arrival by failing to reach out the hand of friendship and openness to residents and continues to engage as though there is a bad smell at the end of his nose. If he continues in this manner a swarm of bees will go after him.
They kept the motion to develop low density social housing very quiet. Thought we would not find out.
Delete...lies and more lies.
This has been common knowledge in planning for at least 2 years. Treverton Estate tenants are the latest to be put through the farce of 'consultation' before their homes are destroyed.
DeleteThe fact that the Tories rejected the Labour amendment says it all.
DeleteIf they are under the ilusion that we will not fight for our homes and communities they are very much mistaken. We are quite ready for round two.
