FACTORING IN FARAGE

Dear Dame

I am a Conservative voting resident and have been for many years: in fact, Sir Merrick Cockell knows me very well as I have canvassed with him.

Now, Dame, we are told you have a 'political proboscis': it would seem so from the picture.

the Dame's 'political nose'

Now that Mr Farage has decided to become leader and chance his arm in Clacton, I wonder whether I should throw my lot in with Reform. Mr Farage is certainly charismatic and his policies seem very Conservative. Many of my friends are swaying towards Reform but are keeping mum.

Do you have a view, dear Dame

Mrs S. Griffith

    9. Farage has been condemned by leading Jewish groups, such as the Board of Deputies, for using antisemitic-linked tropes. In 2017, Farage came under fire for antisemitism after an LBC interview in which he described the so-called US “Jewish lobby” as a concern of his. He has spoken of a "new world order" and the threat of a "globalist" government, often singling out Goldman Sachs and George Soros. The only formal response he has ever given to the complaints from Jewish groups was (via a spokesperson) to call them “pathetic” and “a manufactured story”.

      Delete
    10. 'Pathetic' and 'Manufactured Story' sums it up. There is no doubt a powerful US Jewish lobby that supports Israel-right or wrong. Only a moron like you would see that as anti-semitic. If Farage was it would be unlikely that he would have shared a flat in Brussels with Geoffrey Bloom and been a close friend. Now, zip it up

    12. This thread needs to unpacked.9 June 2024 at 08:49

I am very sorry to disagree with you but the term the "Jewish lobby" or the "powerful Jewish lobby" is a trope and is antisemitic. For example, these terms are often used to refer, erroneously, to Jews "controlling the press and the media" and being "powerful" in all sorts of walks of life. I know many people think this but it is, simply, not true that Jews control the press/ media or other walks of life. It might be true to say that Jewish people are well represented in the legal profession but that is not the same as being "powerful" or "controlling" the profession. There are only 300, 000 Jews in the UK.

I am sorry to say that Farage does not escape the the charge of antisemitism because he shared a flat with Bloom who is Jewish. Joe Stalin denied he was antisemitic on account of his wife being Jewish but Stalin was definitely antisemitic. Dent Coad denies being a racist and is proud to say that Diane Abbott bought her a cake after she racially abused Shaun Bailey and being in with Abbott proves that she is not a racist. What rubbish!

Farage, Dent Coad, Abbott and Corbyn are as bad as each other when it comes to being antisemitic.
