A BROKEN LOCAL PARTY

Yesterday, close to 1800 views....well done, 'a reader writes'

Whoever claims no one reads the Dame needs to open their eyes.

A reader writes....

Very concerned that Emma Dent Coad is a Labour candidate in these local council elections in May and Ian Henderson is not.
Would someone in the Labour Party care to comment on the following facts:-

  • Ian has no form for racism or antisemitism.

  • Ian has been an outstanding champion of social housing tenants, without the support of the Labour Party. Ian and a guy called Andrew saved the Sutton Dwellings in Chelsea from destruction without any help from the Council.

  • Ian rolled his sleeves up at a foodbank to get food to the needy and was criticised because a Tory was doing likewise at the same time. Getting food into starving bellies is not a priority for Kensington Constituency Labour Party if a Tory is doing the same thing at the same time.

  • Emma Dent Coad was exonerated of racism by Corbyn, a white middle-class man, whereas Kemi Badenoch, a black woman MP, found Emma's sketch of a black man being hanged shocking.

  • Emma served on the TMO Board as a Company Director for four and half years. Tenants suffered under her nose. Whereas, Ian did everything he could to help tenants.

Just how vile does a candidate have to be to be considered suitable for election as a Labour candidate by the Kensington Constituency Labour Party?

Just how good does a candidate have to be to be shown the door by Kensington Constituency Labour Party and sacked by their selection committees?

There is something terribly wrong going on here. Councillors of Henderson's quality and dedication are hard to find. They cannot just be extinguished.

EDC is also a hard working Councillor. She must be able to recognise an asset to North Kensington Labour?

  5. Emma Dent Coad wants to make a parliamentary come back. She has supreme confidence in her ability.

Dent Coad was a socialist sham when she was on the TMO Board. She sided with Conservative Councillors whom she is supposed to oppose and allowed the Council to claim that the TMO had the support of Labour and Tory Councillors. She never once denied that the Labour Party supported the TMO every bit as much as their Tory counterparts.

As a Director of the TMO, she received complaints from "the many not the few" about the disgraceful way that the TMO, her Company, was treating tenants. For the most part, she did nothing about these complaints. Why?

The only one who saw through Dent Coad was Sir Martin Moore Bick when he refused to give her Core Participant Status at the Grenfell Tower Inquiry. She was fuming and expressed her astonishment, dismay and indignation about that decision in Parliament. Moore Bick decided not hear from her and she could not believe it. Dent Coad was crestfallen, she could not believe she would not be in the elite, one of the special ones, assisting the Inquiry, she knew everything that was wrong with the TMO and above all she knew the culture of the TMO. Shame on her for not doing anything about the disastrous TMO during her four year stint on its Board.

Ian Henderson if he had been in Dent Coad's shoes, he would have done something about TMO.

She said that several of her friends has similar 'jobshares' and found it all rather hysterical. She said the sitting Councillors didnt have a clue what was going on as they were busy with constituency cases. She said the plan was to shrink the Constituency Party so that certain people would have small loyal band of fanatics who would do as they were told.

  22. FTHN really do seem to have an odd obsession with EDC. It’s extremely funny seeing half of you foaming at the mouth over goings on you have no knowledge of.

While Ian fought a brilliant campaign in Chelsea (where he is a resident of the Sutton Estate and NOT a local Cllr) and will be sorely missed by some in Colville, perhaps it’s time to get over the fact that he will not be on the ballot paper this time. He too was once a new Councillor and those who are standing for the first time this year will need to be judged on what they do if elected.

BOTH EDC & Ian spend more time out of their days supporting their neighbours & local community than the so called Dame and other contributors on this website have in their lifetimes.

On the topic of racism - Cllr Walaa Idris has attended quite a few far-right rallies in Parliament Square in her time - no mention of any of that on this pathetic blog.

Yes, we know Ian did a great thing helping out at the food bank (and nobody really cares that he was standing next to a couple of Tories) - ask yourselves: would Felicity Buchan (who lives next to Harrods in Greg Hands’ constituency) have ‘rolled her sleeves up’ at the food bank if she wasn’t our MP? Very clear to see by anyone with more than one brain cell that poor Ian was thrust in front of the camera by Felicity who was only there for a cheap photo op. Turning over to him like a leopard pouncing upon its prey.

We’ll see what happens in May. For now it would be great if the Dame stopped getting her knickers in a twist over EDC every 5 mins.

    1. North Kenner - Are you deluded ? Ian made deliveries to the Venture Centre in Goldborne Ward - home to Councillor Emma Dent Coad ,Sina Lari and Pat Mason . The food banks in Kensington were running out of food. Ian called all the major supermarkets and Tesco agreed to help .Ian called me to see if he could use my truck for the deliveries. Tesco pulled food from all over the Country and Ian went to Earls Court Tesco with K and C Social Council to pay the bill of £20k. He then loaded the truck with myself and Councillor Press. We then drove to the Venture Centre where Volunteers were waiting to help unload . The only two Councillors present were Ian and Councillor Press. Ian told me he was then asked by RBKC if he could do the same the next week as supplies were perilously low and RBKC would pay for it. Ian negotiated a 50 per cent discount on the second delivery . We repeated the process the next week. As RBKC paid for the second delivery certain Conservative Councillors turned up to help unload the truck along with many other volunteers. For the second week no Golborne Councillors were present .
Golborne Councillors issued a warning to Ian for this behaviour. You make me sick !

  23. Dear Emma,

You are so bitter. The Dame and others have seen through you. You are the one who has got your "cuddly" marxist knickers in a socialist twist.

Why was Ian Henderson shafted and replaced by your daughter as a Labour candidate in Colville Ward where he served brilliantly as a Local Councillor for one term of four years? Ian has achieved far more than you have ever managed to do and has certainly achieved more than your daughter has ever done in local politics. Ian wanted to stand for election again in Colville Ward to continue his good work.

You obfuscate as usual so let's put the matter straight.

Ian Henderson may be live in Chelsea. You appear to be suggesting in a sneaky way that he is only entitled to stand for election as a Councillor in a Ward in the Chelsea district which, is patent nonsense.

Under the Representation of People's Act, anyone who is registered to vote in a Local Council area is entitled to stand for election in any Ward in that Council's area. I would expect you as a former member of the legislature to have known this important point about electoral politics.

Therefore, as Ian Henderson is registered to vote in the Royal Borough of KENSINGTON and Chelsea, he is entitled to stand for election to COLVILLE WARD IN KENSINGTON and not only in Wards that fall in the Chelsea area.

You sound pretty desperate referring to Felicity Buchan MP living in Greg Hands's constituency next to Harrods. How this is relevant, I do not know. As a descendant of a florentine Aristocrat at the French Court, I am surprised that you do not shop at Harrods.

Ian wanted to stand as a Councillor again and the Trotskyite machinations and pseudo legal posturing put paid to that.

I hope Ian sees you off at the next General Election as a Labour Candidate in Kensington. I vote Labour In Earl's Court Ward but I hope Labour is seen off in Colville Ward in May.

So the Kensington Labour Party under the influence of Emma Dent Coad, (its former Labour MP and sacked Leader of Labour Councillors) has arbitrarily decided that the Party should only have election candidates in the Kensington Wards if the candidate is registered to vote in an Electoral Ward that lies in Kensington.

Emma Dent Coad along with others, presumably Trots and Marxists have concocted this specious argument to keep Henderson away from any Kensington Ward and away from the General Election ballot paper. Henderson knocks Connie Blott, Emma's daughter, in to cock hats. He is head and shoulders above the Marxists that have done for him.
