Ian Henderson has been deprived of seeking re-election in Colville Ward in the most scandalous manner by opportunist members of Kensington Constituency Labour Party.

Ian Henderson's own ward members voted him out. Them's the breaks. I'm sure it had nothing to do with his not-so-secret penchant for the KCFCs and the RBKC leadership. ReplyDeleteIan Henderson has more vitality in his little finger Councillors Dent Coad, Mason, and Lari put together. The trouble with some Marxist/Socialist Councillors is that they have to be "control" of everything; they have to be "Top Dog" at all costs. If a man is more popular than the Top Dog who is hungry for power and glory and, makes more of an impact through his practical endeavours, then he has to be deposed. (It is a bit like Putin deposing Navalny because Navalny is a formidable opponent Henderson is a formidable opponent compared with Emma Dent Coad.
It is a pity that the Kensington CLP has not appreciated real talent of Ian Henderson. Would Connie Blott and Emma Dent Coad be able to do the wonders that Ian achieved at the Foodbank or manage to save the Sutton Estate. Quite frankly, I very much doubt that they would.
Anyone who is more talented politically and more capable than the Labour Party Top Dog hungry for power and glory is quite simply cast aside and simply disappears from the political scene.
Emma has had her chance and she blew it:
she blew it when she was sacked by Labour Councillors as their convenor in 2014ish.
she blew it when she insulted Shaun Bailey and endorsed a disgraceful tweet about Jewish people.
she blew it with her total enthusiasm for Corbynism.
she blew it supporting tenant management.
Kensington is a very right wing leaning constituency, and the sort of policies Emma likes do not go down well with the right wing who might occasionally be persuaded to vote Labour.
