LONG ESTABLISHED THAMES BOAT COMPANY SENDS OUT MAYDAY

The Dame, like all Londoners, loves Old Father Thames so when she hears that Colliers is in trouble she is delighted to step in and hope readers will join with her and spread the message.
This business is a vital part of London's tourist industry and it's staggering that the Mayor of London has not stepped in to help

"Hello, I’m Danny Collier proud owner and operator of Colliers Launches.

Our family business is under threat from Covid-19. Lockdown hit even before our season started.
We have set up a crowdfunding page in an attempt to get some support to keep us afloat as we fall between all government safety nets.
We have already made some traction, but I fear this might be futile if we can’t reach people.
If your readers can help in any way I hope you can click on this LINK and spread the message.

    1. No he doesn't. We taxpayers have enough on our plates. There are more important and essential things to save than pleasure boats

  2. Colliers has not woken up to the fact that the world has changed. There is no longer a place for their pleasure boat business on the Thames. Get used to the new reality.

    1. Exactly. The whole £20 million scandal of Opera Holland Park, frittering away hard earned Council Tax so that rich Kensington residents could indulge themselves with a short walk from their Mansions is a travesty of monumental proportions. Corvid 19 has mercifully knocked out the Opera. The Park is once more returned to its proper tranquility and the £1m "sitting out area" built as an extravagant foundation for the tent is now being used as a sitting out area by residnets in the summer months.

      Rejoice! Rejoice!

In these troubles times it is such a pleasure to be able to take refuge and exercise in a tranquil Holland Park which for seven months of the year, in recent times, has been disturbed by builders, musicians singers and corporate entertainment

    Long may it continue

  7. Sadly most business is receiving no help, the CBILS loans are a joke and it is well known business with cash backup and proeprty to give security that is getting the help. The lieks of HSBc etc even though they are now being given 100% guarantees form government are still not lending , they want projectiuons, cashflow which for all now is non existent and proof of how they will repay from projected business , how can any SME do that when closed with no date to reopen ?
