FOXTONS RUIN A YOUNG COUPLE'S CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR

A young Chelsea couple had their Christmas ruined when 'controversial' estate agency, Foxtons, encouraged them to sign a rental agreement to a property their client landlord did not even own!
CAR CRASH
Julian P, a CTO for a tech company sent the Dame a tragic story of how he was deliberately misled by Foxtons into signing a rental agreement cancelled by Foxtons just two days before Christmas. The couple had paid just over £10,000, which they had saved up over many months to put down as a deposit and advance rent whilst they recouped the costs of new furniture and moving fees.

Foxtons told the couple that they would return the money on the same day of notice, but had left the office by the time their bank had told them that the money was being held for Anti-Money Laundering reasons.

The couple has had no updates from Foxtons since receiving notice of the lease cancellation and no insight whatsoever as to when they might get their money back, meaning that they have been left with no money to put down a deposit elsewhere. Julian has reached out to the CEO of Foxtons, Nic Budden and various other Foxtons executives with no response beyond the acknowledgment of their formal complaint.

The property's "landlord", Frank Pons, a payment protection expert, convinced Foxtons that he owned the property but later pulled out of the sale, no doubt before recovering his initial deposit.

The couple had notified their current landlord that they were due to move on 10th January, leaving them with less than a week to find a new home when the holiday season is over, effectively rendering them homeless if they can't find a suitable alternative.

Why do people ever use Foxtons when there are so many better choices?

RBK&C & SPECIAL MEASURES

An act of vengeance planned by a Corbyn led government was to put RBK&C into Special Measures.
It would have been a sensationally stupid move but then a humiliated Corbyn has already shown his stupidity by a dimwitted campaign.

THE PLAYBOY PM?

Boris Johnson gained power because the North  and Midlands decided to give him a crack of the whip.
Fellow guests P. Beatrice and Mr. M Jagger!
It's not a good look when he is seen going to a party hosted by the weird and mysterious son of an ex KGB man, Lebedev.
Johnson needs to be very careful about the company he keeps.
He got power not because people trusted him but because they trusted Corbyn much less....

THE MADNESS OF MOMENTUM LABOUR

Matt Uberoi, the ex jailbird who Labour thought a good idea to pitch against Greg Hands is a candidate for the Momentum deradicalisation programme.
Cult Victim
The Momentum cult leaders convinced Matt that he and his father's insider dealing would resonate with voters and could inspire a 'sympathy vote'....bad idea!
Matt describes himself as a 'Community Worker'....what can that possibly be?
It's sad that Matt was so badly bought up that his highly paid dentist father encouraged his son in his criminality.

THE DAME IS BEGGED TO HELP DERADICALISE MOMENTUM 'CULTISTS'

My Dear Dame,
I understand you have generously endowed a foundation with the laudable aim of improving the lives of ordinary folk.
Piers-Cult Victim
My son, Piers, has always been a charming, well-behaved boy but since leaving Holland Park Academy got in with the wrong crowd and has been indoctrinated by a weird political cult called Momentum.

Had you ever thought of funding a Deradicalisation Programme to help these poor creatures escape the clutches of this vile cult?

I took Piers to meet Doctor Charles Tannock, our ex MEP now practicing as a shrink in the NHS. He says he's happy to run any deradicalisation programme on a very non pro bono basis.

Please help. I am at my wit's end.

POLICE TAKE FLAK OVER WASTING THEIR OWN TIME

The police whine about being overworked but when there is a minor contretemps involving a minor celebrity called Caroline Flack this what happens:
2 Police vans plus 2 or 3 police cars speed to the scene and then a horde follow on....8 police people in all!
It's quite obvious this overkill was down to the fact the police had nothing else to do and liked a chance to hobnob with a celeb.
This is just one example of mismanagement of resources.
Time the useless Met Commissioner got a grip
The Standard reports
"A member of the public from a business near Flack’s north London property, who declined to give his name or further details, said CCTV had shown a number of police vehicles and “blue flashing lights” in the early hours of Thursday.
He said the footage shows two police vans and “two or three police cars” drive up the road.
The first car arrived and then five or six minutes later “the horde” turned up, he added."

EXIT DOOR FAR LEFT....."LESSONS (WON'T) BE LEARNED!

Dear Dame,

Early this morning,   Labour's Emma Dent Coad lost Kensington to Felicity Buchan. This was not unexpected.

The leadership of the Labour Party has lost its way.
They surround themselves with Momentum supporters from outside and ignore local people causing further divisions in North Kensington.

Well, the price to pay for ignoring residents is losing their votes.
Residents living near Grenfell will now have to put up with a Labour group that not only refuses to serve on scrutiny committees but openly snubs and dismisses residents.

Some were surprised to see that Grenfell local bloggers This Is North Kensington who had criticised Labour's refusal to sit on committees were left outside the Town Hall in the cold and rain.
There was a visible far left Momentum presence and not many local residents supporting Labour in the Town Hall at the count.

Inside the Town Hall, some of the Momentum supporters showed themselves to be sore losers by aggressively shouting at other parties when they learned they had lost.

Refusing to listen to constructive criticism from your own supporters gets you nowhere, especially in politics.

Emma Dent Coad has her councillor job to go back to: the people living around Grenfell that EDC says she represents doesn't have much to look forward to.

Now Labour has so much extra time on their hands, perhaps some of them would care to explain why the far left candidate for the "Workers Revolutionary Party" in the picture, is wearing a red rosette?

If this is the way that Labour is going, they cannot blame the Lib Dems or anyone else for taking their votes and support.

Respectfully yours, my esteemed Dame,

THIS IS NORTH KENSINGTON AND FTHN

Both local blogs asked each Kensington candidate to reply to a set of questions,

Only one candidate exhaustively answered the questions set and that was the newly elected MP for the constituency.
The others could not be bothered....

So, thank you Felicity Buchan and good luck.

PUTTING THEM TO THE QUESTION

Not everybody can get to hustings so sensibly This is North Kensington invites readers to submit questions to the candidates.
So far Vivien, Felicity, Emma and Sam have agreed.

You can read about this excellent initiative HERE

A constituency beset with knife crime means that the candidates need to come up with some real-world solutions and stop blaming poverty: it's an insult to the dignity of struggling poor people by doing so.
This is all about  building and protecting drug empires...nothing to do with putting food on the table.

The Dame invites the Chelsea & Fulham candidates to put themselves forward and readers to submit questions.

NOT A SOUND FROM OUR WOULD BE MP'S

Yesterday a harmless young Omani student died at the hands of street robbers outside Harrods.
Killed for a bauble

Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Fulham have now become dangerous places yet not one parliamentary candidate seems to have solutions or even addressed the issue.

The Dame knows the solution.

Caught with a knife or similar: 12 long years

Using a knife or similar: 20 long years

No point talking about rehabilitation....just get them off our streets.

SOME QUESTIONS NICOLA HORLICK DODGES

HUSTINGS TONIGHT...A CHANCE TO PIN DOWN HORLICK
20:00 – 21:30
All Saints, Fulham, Pryors Bank, Bishops Park

Those who accuse the Dame of being anti Lib Dem need to zip it up.
She is against the candidates who don't represent Lib Dem values.

Nicola Horlick has been repeatedly asked and refuses to answer the following questions.

  • What success has she had in the various businesses she has owned from Bramdean to restaurants?
  • What is her relationship to Vincent Tchenguiz
  • Did she know he was a big investor in Cambridge Analytica who work for extreme right wing interests
  • Why did she invest in Madoff's funds having never met the crook
  • How can she claim Maddoff was 'good at calling the markets'
  • She blamed the collapse of her  Chiswick restaurant on 'mothers who don't go out': is that not a spurious explanation for a bad investment and insulting to stay at home mothers
  • Money & Co is struggling to find success. Why is she not focused on saving it and investor's capital rather than playing around in politics.
  • To lose one director of Denmark Square is unfortunate: to lose four in one fell swoop smacks of disaster.
  • Once a Labour candidate; now a Lib Dem....Conservative next?

LOOKS ARE NOT EVERYTHING, HUGH GRANT

Here's the irritating Chelsea and Fulham constituent, Hugh Grant, canvassing for Lib Dem candidate in Finchley and Golders Green.

So why is he canvassing for glamorous Luciana Berger and not Nicola Horlick?
Maybe his PR told him it would not be a 'good look!
These mummers are very conscious of 'looks'.....
