When you make a cock up don't try to dig your way out: instead, admit an error of judgment.
His attempts to rationalise the investment just make him seem silly and vacuous.
He should have told journalists he had no idea of the use of the product and that he was going to liquidate the investment....very simple.
As usual, the Dame is right.

DeleteJRM denies the rights of the (female) majority of the population to control their own bodies. As the father of six, he acknowledges that he's never changed a nappy. Simultaneously he accepts no responsibility for investments in medications used to induce abortions in one of the poorest and most overcrowded places in the world. Apart from that, he's a thoroughly nice chap, with exquisite manners.

DeleteOnly last week, in preparation for the Conservative Conference this week, Rees Mogg arranged a carefully orchestrated publicity stunt (that was VERY successful) informing all and sundry that his high Catholic principles forbade him to condone homosexuality and abortions. Even for the consequences of rape. "Life starts at the point of conception" the upright man trilled to journalists and television.

What a two faced, untrustworthy politician this is. Glad the Dame found him out and alerted us. Voters need to be EXTRA CAREFUL of these Mogg, Rudd and Johnston types.
