Everybody asks the Dame who will get what under the new leader ....as if she would know!
Rocky and Danny 'Boys' both sent virtually simultaneous emails to Fragrant-Howells withdrawing from the race. That indicates the duo had been made promises....
According to one of the Dames' friends Danny Boys' is currently collecting the following:
Tfl............................£24,000 per annum
Aviation adviser........£75,000 " "
Odds & sods............£9,000 " "
So rounding up.........£109,000 " "
If Nick does as predicted and appoints him deputy leader Danny Boys will have a total bundle of local authority allowances of just over £160,000 a year!
Add in his non executive fees of c £27,000 a year and one can see that he will be laughing all the way to the bank!
Yes, the Dame is very envious. Who said there was no money in local politics?

ReplyDeleteSurely Moylan is not going to boil his cabbages twice - that would be such a humiliation. Bad enough to get no more votes than Rocky. Also, looks like at least one Tim is going to the back benches. At least neither of them does it for the money. Let us hope that at least some talent gets promotion.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the Chronicle, the Deputy will be Rocky - sensible Nick, putting that idiot where he can do the least damage. He will just have to do as he is told in that post.

Oh Moylan will probably get Public Realm where he can inflict most damage, and Rocky ... where can he do the most damage? It would have to be Housing, after all the boy has 'ideas'.

ReplyDeleteI am flabberghasted that either of these two are in the frame for a responsible position at Hornton Street. Confirmation to me that politics at both local and national level is rotten to the core.
ReplyDeleteIf NPB chooses either of these two he will be tarnished by their hellish reputations, it's simply incredible that they are in the frame, whilst the few decent councillors with expertise to develop the borough in the best interests of the residents are vacuum packed in the back seats. But of course as this blog demonstrates they are not interested in the residents until next elections. What they arrogantly choose to ignore is UKIP and the residents are angry!
ReplyDeletePlease would someone explain to me what either Daniel Moylan and Rock have achieved for the improvement of the Resident's lot in RBK&C. I wish to have a fairer and clear picture of the pros and cons of the present state of affairs at Hornton Street.
ReplyDeleteNothing absolutely nothing. Except in Moylans case spend vast amounts of money on Exhibition Road mess and try to bully the residents of Sloane Square. Two examples of this mans incompetence.
DeleteA major cause of concern, if Rocky gets the housing brief, is that he will revisit the Masterplan to cleanse North Kensington of as many social housing tenants as possible. This Masterplan, devised by Moylan and former Cllr Fairhead, was ditched by Coleridge. Rocky would love to get back at Tim for approving the Grenfell Tower refurbishment in the face of his total opposition to the project. The one hope is that at least NPB knows where North Kensington is and what it contributes to the vibrancy of the borough.
