DECISIONS! DECISIONS!

LIB DEM COUNCILLOR CONFUSED

Liberal Democrats are a confused, incoherent bunch, but can this example of their utter political ineptness really be true? Or is just a cruel joke on the part of Cllr Matthew( The Investigator) Palmer.

At the last council meeting, the hapless trio representing the Lib Dem interest were in a quandary as to how to vote. So confused were Cllr Caruana's little flock they had to ask the advice of other councillors......, during the Council meeting!
According to the experienced councillor reporting the matter to the Dame it was a 'First': no one had ever come across such a thing before....

  1. What do you expect? Three third raters. The Dame should know better - this is not "news"

  2. The Lib Dems have become a quiet joke in the corner of the Council Chamber. Waste of space

  3. The Lib Dems are hopeless because Cockell has ruined democracy in K&C after 15 years of building his fiefdom and patronage society in Hornton Street. People of quality no longer come forward and offer themselves for public service.

  4. It is time for the Lib Dems to be "stepped down" in K&C and replaced by UKIP Cllr Caruana should return to her Market Stall in Portobello Road at the weekends. During the week she can do some charity work with the elderly. She would be much happier

  5. Mastering procedure in the Council Chamber is not a walk in the Park (not even Holland Park). It takes time to figure out what is going on. And it is even more difficult when minority Party votes make not a scrap of difference - voting one way or the other is reduced to "gesture" politics.

The Lib Dems in K&C are so insignificant, their "gestures" so irrelevant, that their Councillors should do their families a service and go home to cook dinner instead of faffing around in Hornton Street

    1. Not 100% wasted. they got rid of Boy Cllr Mellen - and next time with a fair wind it will be Inspector Cllr Palmer

  7. No - Labour got rid of Boy Mellen. The other delightful moment was on a vote when one voted in favour, one voted against and the third abstained.

This story is unfortunately true. I saw the episode from the Public Gallery. It was quite comical to watch. Cllr Caruana was obviously stressed out by the need to use her brain

    1. "find" her brain would be more accurate

  11. Everything one sees on here about the sad state of Democracy in K&C, and the poor quality of too many of our Councillors, unfortunately suggests that a dose of UKIP could turn out to be an excellent tonic for the Royal Borough
