Come along to your local policing and crime roadshow
|
We all have an interest in reducing crime.
Residents now have a chance to input ideas which could shape the Mayor's new Police and Crime Plan out this April. The Plan defines a strategy to reduce crime in the capital over the next four years. It will also show what the Met Police and other agencies are doing to tackle crime. This will be a chance to cross examine 'Steve' Greenhalgh(don't mention lifts!), but grill him hard on the controversial subject of station closures and the fundamental reforms relating to the policing of our streets. There is a rare opportunity to ensure that we residents are not railroaded into acceptance of a mere cost cutting exercise.
The consultation for K&C is in the Chelsea Town Hall, 8.00 – 9.00 on 31st January 2013. Just an hour so turn up early, and make sure that your opinions are heard. If you can’t come then, send your questions in .......

TACKLING CRIME...YOUR VIEWS NEEDED
Anonymous
I have a very cynical view to this. I checked the website and for Kensington and Chelsea it is held for one hour at eight o clock at night at Chelsea Town Hall. Of course they want our input ?????? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteI agree, choosing a time from 8.00 until 9.00 is incredibly difficult for a lot of people and I wonder whether this is another deliberate ploy. In truth if the organizers were seeking a large turnout it would be between say, 6.00 until 7.00 in the evening. As it is, I suspect that the small annexe will be quite large enough to accommodate the audience on the night. I for one, would have attended but will not be doing so.
