AFFINITY SUTTON APPLY TO RAZE SUTTON ESTATE TO THE GROUND. OBJECT NOW PLEASE

ANGRY MAN
ANGRY MONK
Hot on the heels of the wrecking of beautiful Victorian Marlborough Primary School we can now focus attention on the equally well loved Sutton Dwellings. For over a century the Estate has done just what its benefactor, William Sutton intended; a place for the less affluent in our community to live.
£300,000 a year Affinity Sutton boss, Keith Axford, a housing manager turned property developer, now plans to raze most of the Estate to the ground and raise tens of millions by building multi-million pound flats for offshore investors.
The application is now in.
You have just 17 DAYS to convince the Council to throw out this greed driven plan.
Please click HERE and help save this vital piece of social housing by objecting vehemently.
Incidentally, the Dame hears Axford spent close to £4 million preparing the application.
Just imagine how many flats could have been refurbished with that money....

May we know how much Exford will collect as a bonus if the scheme goes through?

  2. Where in the world is Greg Hands in this? He remained silent and unmoved by Marlborough school but went out of his way for Fulham boys school which is not even in his borough. Our dear Dame, please have a word in Lady Borwick's ear to have word in the Yank MP's ear that he should do something. Maybe the Daily Mail would be interested in this. Anyone he deems not likely to vote for him he cares not for.

  3. If we allow this to occur there will be no stopping them.

This council have already passed the motion to redevelop all low density social housing.

There is a list in the regeneration department in the Town Hall with all the social housing estates due to be demolished.

    This is a national scandal.

  4. To sell off the social housing paid for by the public purse for private profit amounts to defrauding future generations.

  5. It wasn't paid for by the public purse.it was left to the poor by a private individual in a trust. Affinity Sutton nicked it.

  7. You can't expect a government minister to get involved in minor issues in his constituency.

    1. The displacement of a whole community which has been in existence for over a hundred years is not a minor issue.

Our MP has become involved and challenged our councillors successfully on the threat to demolish social housing in the past.

  13. This is rubbish
I'm sure Affinty Sutton paid a pretty penny for this estate. Now they are looking for a return on their investment. Keith should be properly rewarded for this masterstroke. Buy cheap-sell high. What's wrong with that. Look at the figures you fools. The capital outlay must have been huge.

  14. National Scandal. They paid nothingfor the estate. The bigger scandal is how this guy got a knighthood. This is a bigger robbery than Hatton Garden.

  15. Another moan up by the labour party. Go in Keith kick the scum out of our lovely area. Let those of us who can genuinely afford it -enjoy it-without having to look on at the 'doleites"

  16. Someone needs to tell Keith to use a bit of conditioner. That'll stop the hair fluffing up.
