WHERE WERE THE POLICE AND COUNCIL NOISE TEAM TODAY?

 A NEIGHBOURHOOD MENACE

This lady owns a flat in Hans Road. Until the early hours of yesterday morning, she allowed a huge party to take place in her flat. It ruined the sleep of hundreds of local residents...the old, the young, small children, and the sick.

Despite many residents asking her to stop she refused. Many residents called the Council and Police but absolutely no reaction from either.

  1. I am quite disturbed and disgusted by how indignant and disrespectful behaviour of the owner and her guests yesterday evening. And, I am concerned by the lack of action by the police or local council.

I lived in Chelsea for 11 years with never a single incident. During the 4.5 years I have lived in Hans Place, I have had issue after issue with noise, cars, music, litter, trash, dog poo, etc. Last night was the final straw. Life is short and this is not the community I choose to live in anymore.

There was a family that lives below them and had twin children. My puppy was frightened indoors at 21 Hans Place (at the opposite end of the circle) where we live and we could hear it in our home.

  4. Neighbors should rally together and make sure this woman doesn't repeat this selfish act again. Everyone should call the Police and the noise team. A peaceful environment after 10pm is everybody's basic human rights in this country!

    1. That's rather a foolish comment. I find the Council extremely receptive. The good councillors are very good: the bad, quite abysmal. In our ward we are very fortunate to have Sof McVeigh. Despite it being Sunday she immediately took up the cudgels on behalf of residents.

    2. To equally refute whatever the point you were trying to make Sue Harris, the Director Environmental Services has responded.

  7. Police refuse to answer noise complaints because they say the noise service must deal with it . In summer the noise team is simply to small & is more interested in completing their paperwork than actually doing anything about it ( admittedly its a difficult job ) Noise service knocks off @ 3am & many ravers know this & turn the music back on . Police still refuse to intervene despite having little else to do at that time in the morning

  8. Beyond beyond disturbing. It was as though they were at a rave in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I was on hold with the police for 45 mins and no one picked up. Not sure why we pay city council taxes if the city council isn’t going to help when needed. UNACCEPTABLE ON ALL FRONTS.

    1. Well said. I waited looking for a patrolling police car for 2 mins. They say they are short staffed uet during COVID they had hundred pestering people. The police are appallingly managed.

  9. We have just about no police! The very few we have will be pulled to other duty’s at the drop of a hat. They don’t have the resources they need to do their job which is that stupid mayors fault. Earl’s Court and Chelsea are no man’s land. Not only do we have these dressed up thugs to deal with we have drug dealers and addicts, speeding cars and motorbikes all doing whatever they want. Maybe the people should revolt!
