GOOD NEWS FOR LINDA WADE: RECYCLED COUNCILLOR TO REPLACE CLLR SPALDING

The Dame has had to delete certain comments concerning Cllr Wade. The comments were so far-fetched and untrue as to be defamatory. The Dame has occasionally critiqued Wade but never for her 100% commitment to residents.

She is an excellent, hard-working councillor

Cllr Max Chauhan was so flipping hopeless as a Queen's Gate he was given the heave-ho.

Being booted out might have led Max to feel he had his fill of local politics.

It seems not. The Leader, who must be obeyed in all things, has dictated Max should be recycled and replace dedicated Cllr Spalding.

Linda Wade must be breathing a sigh of relief knowing she has only this lightweight to worry about.

  1. Another clear sign that insecure and useless dizzy is filling her backbenches with poodles. Cllr Campbell has taken personal charge of the candidates list for Conservative Councillors and dictates to Ward Committees who they may or may not select to represent residents. This is an abuse of power, a failure of Leadership, the destruction of democracy and a shame for Conservatives. The whole clear out of useless Councillors from Queensgate Ward have been recycled as dizzy acolytes. Quality candidates like Victoria Borwick have been denied selection.

The Kensington and Chelsea Tory Party is in a sad state. It is no longer a Conservative party. It is a self serving rump of self promoting individuals.

Good luck to the Liberals in Earls Court. Residents will be well served if Linda Wade gets Liberals alongside her

A startling analysis by Observer. A Councillor fired by the Conservative Ward Committee in Queensgate for incompetence is recycled immediately into Earls Court. This has nothing to do with serving residents. It has everything to do with dizzy shoring up her power base in Hornton Street. High time for Tory Councillors to put an end to this nonsense and get rid of dizzy

    2. Another Conservative Councillor fired by Queensgate for incompetence, Cllr Woodger, also recycled immediately by dizzy.

      Its called poodle fodder.

  2. Liberals are useless just like Conservative Party. Both Parties are too long in Earls Court. Wade has done very little, next to nothing. She talks a lot and it's all she does. Sorry to say her memory is not too great. In truth it's nothing to do with serving local residents, it's all about power and connections. One must know when to quit, but she would just hold on no matter how unpopular she would make herself. What I have seen for past years is that she has never voted against or pro something in the Council always being not too sure where she stands. Liberal Democrats are useless, self-promoting just like Conservative Party. My friend lives in Hammersmith and is happy what Labour. Green Party is nowhere to be seen in RBKC.

A sad response from 03.36 who is obviously a close observer of Earls Court matters. But at 3.36 am could it be the whisky that is talking?

    2. 03:36 nasty smearing of Cllr Wade is really sad & desperate oppotunistic electioneering from K&C Labour. Cllr Wade is a caring long serving hard working resident councilor who helps this community. EDC & Labour only ever pop up in Earl's Ct & pretend to care about us at election time! Voters aren't stupid.

    3. To Anonymous at 3.36am, your personal dislike of Cllr Wade is glaringly obvious , try coming up with some valid points instead of insults

  3. Amazing to learn that the Tory selection process supports a failed Councillor like Max Chauhan and even worse, excludes candidates like Victoria Borwick! Just to refresh the minds of the poodles who are allowing themselves to be seduced by the patronage of dizzy, Borwick served many years as a dedicated and hard working Councillor of Abingdon Ward. She campaigned fearlessly against nonsense like the Sloane Square development. She went on to become a Deputy Mayor of London serving the current Prime Minister. And then she was selected and served as the Conservative MP for Kensington. Today she is a tireless local campaigner for the Conservative Party and a hard working volunteer for the poor in North Kensington and has a daily food run to supply the food bank. And is a school Governor. And in case dizzy forgets, Borwick is also on the candidate list to be a Councillor in Kensington and Chelsea.

What kind of manipulation and machination in Hornton Street forces Chauhan on Earls Court?

Tories need to wake up and figure out what is going on in their local organisation

Good Leaders engage with their organisation. They engage with the flux of those who need mentoring, those who need to be restrained, with those who need to be developed, and those who need to be pushed outside of their comfort zone in preparation for greater responsibility. And always a watching brief on succession.

The resignation of Chief Clerk Barry Quirk should currently be the number one Leadership issue in Hornton Street. Probably an astute career move by Mr Quirk before the publication of the Grenfell Report. And probably a bad time for quality external candidates to put their names forward for one of the big local Authority jobs.

Very often the best candidates can be found within an organisation. External hires, and the considerable associated risks, can be avoided. I understand that there are more than 100 employees in Hornton Street earning more than £130k. In the last few years there have been two calamities in the Royal Borough of Grenfell and COVID, both of which should have given an engaged Leader the chance to judge the potential for outstanding candidates to be the next Chief Executive of the Council. Who emerged and impressed in the management ranks? Who is best placed to be developed for high office?

Reading this blog leads me to ask the question. Does the current Leader have her eye on the ball?

What has happened to the Tory Campaign Manager and wannabe Association Chairman, Ross Allen? Vanished a few weeks before the local elections.

    Monte Carlo perhaps?

Thank you 13.27. Mr Allen has worked in the Conservative Association Office for long enough for even the dumbest Selection Committee member to know that this is not the sort of person who will know how to represent residents and care for them. The Riverside Selection Committee has foisted a pox on their voters. Who told them to do this?

    4. Any update on the disappearance of Mr Ross - he had already been out and about meeting local residents.

  6. Why this elevation of Borwick to sainthood? I remember her biggest claim to fame in the House of Commons was supporting the Ivory trade.

    1. No claim to sainthood. Just a track record of public service that deserves to be considered and judged on merit. What is galling is that the likes of Woodger and Chauhan (kicked out by their Conservative Ward Committee for being useless) and Allen (a huge record of bullying) get forced into seats and Borwick does not get a chance to be interviewed.

Internal Party Politics has taken over from Public Service. Its what happens when power becomes corrupted.

    2. Don't be an idiotic baroness. Borwick said there was no point in including antique ivory in any trade ban. Typical thick Baroness

    3. What a rude person you are. Her lobbying on behalf of rich antique dealers led to the tories reneging on their manifesto commitment to ban this bloodthirsty trade.

Does the Leadership need a refresh?

  9. You need to take more care as you are starting to show who you are , in one breath Linda is running the project with her son ( Thats not Cllr Linda Wade it is a different Linda ) and keeps it a sceret that it is a food bank, yet in the next you claim its run by the Council so how come no one knew i twas a food bank or are the entire council staff liars and cheats as well ? , which one is it my dear lady ?? The food bank was Dads House ( which has its own website ) but you would know that only to well, would you like me to elaborate to others why you would know ? As for Christmas trees, check your facts before acccusing

  10. A friend told you, of cossre they did, thats not what you said in your post about Response Projects and anyone who used it knew Dads House was the Food Bank and Linda wades surgeries always offer help and advice ( whether you vote for her or not ) . Everyone is entitled to their politics but what is sad is that you are systematically making things up to tarnmish a persons name as you have a personal agenda
