COUNCILLORS BASK IN PRAISE FROM THE DAME

The Dame pats herself; the brilliant  Cllr Sof McVeigh and pro resident Cllr Johnny Thalassites on the back!

Months ago she read about audio cameras.

Immediately, she sent the details to Sof who passed them to Johnny.

In short order, a trial was started and cameras placed strategically in trouble spots.

Well done, Sof, Johnny and Ken Thompson, Philip Richardson and Graham Shoesmith, the Council officers running this brilliant scheme.

What we need now are much tougher fines and penalty points. The proof, though, is in the pudding: this scheme works.

Here is the full article in NOISE

From the Daily Mail

Flash car fans who insist on making noise when driving face £100 fines, after almost 10,000 vehicles triggered noise-detecting acoustic cameras in one London borough in the last year alone.

Four cameras were installed in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and between February 2021 and 2022, caught 289 motorists driving their cars at over 100 decibels. For cars registered since 2016, the legal limit is 74dB.

When an increase of 10dB is roughly a doubling of loudness, exposure to more than 85dB for extended periods of time can cause permanent hearing damage.

    2. Hear, hear!

The Dame jumping into bed with the young buck Thalassites even after his eagerness to increase parking permits during a pandemic and at the same time as Khan's increases drivers expenses.

The Dame's green nut using residents' hard earned for HIS scooter scheme, scooters now accounting 3% of deaths on the road in the capital, and bending over backwards for the lycra louts who pass through the borough but do not contribute!

Every local election and after every four years that passes Conservatives give more and more reasons to vote Labour.

  2. £100?
Ho, ho, very satirical, as Lord Gnome used to say.
