BORIS JOHNSON IS NO CHURCHILL

Ukraine needs support but best done through the united voice of European leaders singing from the same carefully orchestrated hymn sheet.

Boris Johnson blunders around thinking his ghastly pastiche of Churchillian rhetoric will distract from his catastrophic leadership: it just makes him an embarrassment. This showed at the NATO meeting where he was studiously ignored.

Johnson needs to zip it up. He makes this country an unnecessary target for Russian vengeance just to save his job.

His behaviour, like his appearance at the NATO meeting, is a disgrace.

Now his Cabinet colleague, Ben Wallace, is infected by the boss's posturing.

In days past a Secretary of State for Defence taken in by crude pranksters would have resigned in shame. Still, what would be worse is his thick deputy, James Heappey.

Johnson's Churchillian b*llocks is precisely that, aload of B*llocks. He lacks substance and tries to emulate his hero. Pathetic.

  2. The way he claimed he wanted to visit Ukraine was just typical. He knew his advisers would never allow it but thought he would do some posturing.

Very worrying to hear he spent an hour on the phone with President Xi....so much opportunity to make a fool of himself

  5. What has happened to Ross Allen? Vanished from the face of the earth. Is he in jail?
