THE DAME FLEW OFF FOR A FLU JAB

Darling Dame,

We 'oldies' were raised not to dwell on health issues....it was considered  'pas comme il faut'.

So I was fascinated to see in the Council 'communication' published by the £650k a year Council PR Dept an image of the £75k a year council leader having a shot in the arm.

Is this a prelude to a series of 'heath-related' shots?

I really don't think I care to see pictures of her bunions being excavated or the good Dr Quirk taking her blood pressure.

Enough of this cult of the Leader, please

Yours fondly,

The Duchess of Rutland

  1. What on earth is the point of this. Does anyone really feel desperate for a flu jab because Campbell has decided to have one...pathetic

    1. This is a carefully constructed photo by the Conservative PR department in Hornton Street. Study it carefully. Black man from North Kensington administers potentially life saving injection to Leader of the Council. One big happy family. This is an attempt to manipulate opinion.

  2. The Council has gone mad with Questionnaires, Surveys and photos of "good works" - like dizzy getting a jab. It is all part of the out of control Empire of useless Barry Quirk and his massive job creation programme for Officers. And in the process he is destroying the capability of the Council to source and examine data in order to make policy. Instead, the huge and expensive Hornton Street machine has turned into a PR exercise for asking residents "what policy do you want and we will do it". And when it all goes peer shaped then dizzy and her Quirk will say "not our fault, its what you said you wanted".

Never in the history of local Government has there been irresponsibility on this scale.

Last night at the Tabernacle there was the first performance of "Value Engineering", a powerful new play about the incompetence and criminality leading up to the Grenfell fire. Director Nic Kent (who successfully hounded the authorities over their attempts to cover up the Lawrence murder) has produced a theater masterpiece based on evidence presented to the Grenfell enquiry.

In the Q&A session following the play some of the victims mentioned that it as become impossible to dialogue with the Council because everyone is "sending out forms and filling in forms"

Readers of the Hornet MUST go and see this play. It puts our current administration into a very clear perspective.

    2. One Q&A participant reported that Barry Quirk said at a meeting that the Council is a "property development machine".

      What is the man thinking?

    3. Another participant said "Kensington had a Labour MP for a whole Parliament and it made no difference".

    1. Buns?? Surely you mean boobs. I am a bum man myself but Cllr Campbell is a wholesome corn fed girl. A bit long in the tooth but a good structure. Married a Naval captain

Goddamnit, my Lord, I bet many a young filly galloped into the distance when they saw the randy lord movin' in their direction.

Max Woodger has been dumped from Queensgate Ward as a Councillor. Lord Moylan is maneuvering behind the scenes and has organised a Palace revolution. The three sitting Councillors are "out" and Danny boy has moved his people in. One of them, a pretty young thing.

It's all going peer shaped for the Tories. Conservative Association candidate for Chairman, aggressive Ross Allan, got horribly drunk (twice) at the Conservative Party Conference and was terribly rude to fellow Kensington Tories. Caused huge offense and upset.

      Apologies are overdue.

    3. Ross Allen is a rude and aggressive bully who upsets people in droves. A deeply flawed character. He would be a terrible Chairman of the Conservative Association

It is entirely appropriate that His Lordship reclaims his heritage. Never understood why his full moniker was not Lord Moylan of Queensgate. If he achieves his ambitions he will be financially well place. His H of L £45k a year plus £75k as leader of the Council. He will soon get rid of Dizzy

  6. When will the acting Conservative Association Chairman and his "nice" pal Lord Carrington sort out the Chairmanship mess and choose one of the hopefuls, Ross Allen or Cllr Addenbrooke?

Time to "shit or get off the pot" as my friendly builder used to say

    3. Time for Andrew Foster and nice guy Mathew Carrington to pull their fingers out. Get on with it guys!

    4. Unfortunately a rude, aggressive and bullying Chairman is exactly what the Conservative Association needs right now. Not forever, but for the moment the organisation is brain dead.

Ross Allen makes a difference. He has transformed campaigning. But the membership will not vote for him. Too uncomfortable.

The question is, does Andrew Foster have the balls to engineer the change? He is in control of the process and can dump on Mathew Carrington. Who has broad shoulders.

If members cannot stand the heat then they can get out of the fire.

  7. Here is the link for Value Engineering, the play at the Tabernacle that exposes the real causes of the Grenfell fire.

Buy tickets now. Director Nic Kent, award winning investigative journalist, pulls no punches in a play that is based on evidence given to the Grenfell enquiry

  8. A master stroke of Leadership would be for Cllr Campbell to take all Tory Councillors to see the play

    1. An even more powerful gesture would be for the Leaders of BOTH Tory and Labour to jointly take all of their Councillors to the show. On a three line whip.

  10. I am prepared to pay for 36 x £29 tickets if Cllr Campbell takes all of the Conservative Councillors, together on a Three Line Whip, to a Tabernacle performance of Value Engineering.
