Posh polo-playing friend of PrinceAn old friend of the Dame sent her a horrid and spiteful email from the French Commie, Bruno de Florence. The Marquis de Florence describes the dignified and genteel old Dame as a 'muckraker and a Tory'!

Adams, the Channel Islands-based, polo-playing friend of Prince Charles for supporting the awful Delancey tower block overlooking Brompton Cemetary and being built in direct contradiction to planning policy. HEREThe question is has 'The Don' joined up with Bruno de F with the idea of guillotining our Famille Royale?
Anyway, it seems that the French Commie also supports this travesty for he writes obsequiously in defence of Delancey supporting Adams who wittingly or unwittingly gave the impression he chaired some moribund Earls Court RA with no members apart from the Marquis.
So Robert Adams has the full trust of the pompous and opinionated de Florence? Who cares,de Florence?

DeleteI was flabbergasted to read that Emma Dent Coad was born in Stepney. I checked Wiki and found her on "People from Stepney" page. She comes across as very posh but she's not.

ReplyDeleteI am almost flattered somebody would take the trouble to check me out. Makes me feel important, as hardly mysterious, more well past my Sell By Date.
Do keep me posted of any more exciting post and let him know that I intend to retire to what is known as the Poor Man’s Channel Island, that really is the only real Channel Island called Alderney. Yes, you can buy a wee house there for about £150,000, whereas in Guernsey that is frankly France you ned £1.5M and in Jersey, again France, it is £10M, that being £5M for a wee house + £5M in the Bank.
You all should visit Alderney only as it is a fascinating time warp of 1970s England and mad life stylers like me with some obvious technological Bolt Ons that look a bit incongruous. A minimum of two flights a day from Southampton and all you need to be is double vaxed as part of the CTA, clearly.

It is rather worrying that the Dame has somehow gotten hold of a persons email not only that they have published it ??? possibly an offence in itself.
ReplyDeleteThe Hornets Nest used to be a great site that highlighted political corruption and inaction etc, it has now stooped to bullying and making false accusations against democratically elected members of a Residents Association, a very well run and totally democratic associationat that I might add with a Chair who goes out of their way to make sure its inclusive and who personally gives up a lot of their time of which they have little spare anyway to assist its members.
I am very disappointed as this article is just personal and nasty for the sake of it

DeleteMr Adams did say he was the Deputy chair he did say residents supported the applciation but with caveats, the residents have bene asking for eyars the derelict site be built on as it is an eyesore . he pointed out that a benefit was key worker homes he also said he agreed with many of Linda Wades points but that the RA wants something built . He clarified that the RA was not objecting to the section 106 social housing but was concerned about number of key worker units as in the RA wants to see more key workers who need homes.
And i have no need to defend Mr Adams but am entitled to say the truth , the insinuations that he is some kind of massive property developer living offshore and benefiting from this (as insinuated here and the previous article wher the Conservative supporting dame states that he is "Channel Islands-based property developer with interests in Eardley Crescent" and other comments) are false
The flats at No 1 and 3 EC which the dame states are owned by ECDC , they own a couple and thats due to them having been bought years before by Capco so when they sold out to the current partnerhip. When capco was in siute the make up was Capco 63% and TFL 37 % , now TFL still retain their 37% and the 63 % shareholding of Capcos was bought by the new vehicle and split 75% to APG and 25% to Delancey. So the final figure for the entire site would then work out at APG 47% , TFL 37% and Delancey 16%. So Delancey hardly have huge leverage over anyone in the Crescent
I am an Eardley Crescent resident; Eardley Crescent Resident Association have never posted anything through our door or contacted us about this building at the end of the road. Neither did we receive anything from RBKC!!!!

Residents have never been asked by any councillors, including Wade, regarding the empty site at the end of the road. The pub was targeted by certain councillors due to out of hours antics which could have been dealt with better. Council could have bought and used it as a community centre instead certain parties had a vendetta closed the pub & then demolished.

DeleteThe Dame is steadfast in pointing out things that need pointing out. Mr Adams represented himself as vice chairman of an organisation called the Eardley Crescent RA. He supported the unwanted Delancey tower block and gave the impression that his RA spoke for numerous members. It was since discovered that Mr Adams spoke only for himself. Further discovery found that this RA was inactive!Turning to how the Dame had'gotten' these emails. Obviously a concerned resident passed them on. Mr de Florence foolishly described the Dame as being a 'Tory Weasel'.Taking the historic content of the Hornet only an idiot would say that it is Tory, Labour or Lib Dem: The Dame, like Jonathan Aitken, wields the 'simple sword of truth". ReplyDeleteSorry but since when did anyone find the RA wa sinactive as thats a bare faced lie, it has a large mailing list , quarterly meetings, it continued meetings via zoom during the pandemic to which we were all invited by the Chair who keeps us regularly updated . The AGM was witnessed by ward Councillors and ward councillrosd attend all meetings so can you advise where you got this rubbish from that the RA is inactive and that itself is a false accusation and a deliberate lie

Two points...Mr Adams told the committee that until recently the Eardley Crescent RA had been 'mothballed'? So, from being 'mothballed' it suddenly has a large mailing list of members. If so why was it 'mothballed'. Mr Adams alsi claimed that 'we' supported the application. Was he using the royal 'We' or was he claiming that his many members supported the application. We should be told.....
Publish the dates, times and minutes of meetings and ask ward councillors to make a statement to that effect!

Still not a sausage of who heads up the association. Putting a website after statements made on this post justifies what the Dame has been saying. Why would a blog suddenly appear after this post was posted but only to justify its existence when all one has to do is point it out on the RBKC site. Something rotten in the ward of Earls Court.
I am reminded of the tragic case of the Chelsea Creek Association. The proposal to fill in the Creek (burying an original barge) went to a public enquiry, where the Chelsea Creek Society submitted a detailed objection, presented by its Chairman Norman Oliver. The barrister for the appellant rose to cross examine. "Mr Oliver, are you the Chairman of the Chelsea Creek Society", "I am", "Mr Oliver, I have examined your accounts - can you tell the Enquiry how many members you have?", (embarrassed pause) "Two", "And who are they?" "Myself and my wife".
ReplyDeleteThe Creek was filled in and Normal Oliver committed suicide about 6 months later by throwing himself off one of the Worlds End Estate towers.
