RECYCLING THE CORRECT DECISION?

The Dame holds Cllr Thalassites in high regard.

He is one of the new generation of councillors determined to listen to residents and comply with their wishes.

Residents and business were united in rejecting the cycle lane for the chaos and pollution it caused.

It now seems that dark forces are at work and arms twisted....

The Leader, Cllr Campbell has asked the Council to look again at the decision to remove the temporary cycle lane on High Street, Kensington  and will be consulting with the entire Leadership Team 'sans Cllr Thalassites' in the interests of "fairness and balance"

This is plain silly. Thalassites has an important contribution to make to this debate and to exclude him is shortsighted.

At the end of the day, the issue probably needs to be decided by a referendum amongst those worse affected: residents and business who endure the chaos and pollution created by this waste of space.

  1. Perhaps you could create a new road system. Kensington High Street will become one way eastbound for cars, buses, etc. Westbound traffic would go along Holland Park Avenue. Call it the Campbell GyraTory. Must have the capital T in GyraTory as a permanent reminder of who is responsible for this folly.

This is a very strange maneuver by bird brain Campbell, Leader of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Residents know what they think and told her so. Cllr Thallasites listened and told her so. MP Buchan and GLA Representative Devenish listened and carried out a very high profile and ultimately successful campaign to have the cycle lanes removed.

    Now this!!

Apart from kicking residents and council tax payers in the teeth, bird brain's timing is perfect for Labour. A political mess just in time for the GLA Elections in May so that Mayoral Candidate Bailey and GLA Representative Devenish can get some thoroughly destructive and damaging press coverage. A big anti Tory bash.

    Khan on top. Again.

What planet does this silly woman think she is living on.

    1. It's not only Felicity Buchan that gets shafted by fellow Tory, Cllr Campbell. Greg Hands, MP for Fulham and Chelsea, also took a high profile against the cycle lanes.

Add in poor GLA Rep Tony Devenish (Tory) and the ridiculous Campbell scores a hat trick for her own goal. What an utterly useless and pathetic person.

    2. Person? Person?? dizzy???

Or do you mean politician? This ruse was "imagined" during a sleepover in Sloane Square with the intellectually challenged Councillors Weale and Faulks. This is the Kitchen Cabinet running the Royal Borough.

The new group of Tory Concillors need to pull out their collective fingers and get rid of this trash. Fast.

  4. The picture tells the story. The Dame always summarizes the situation extremely well. Now we are going to have to brace ourselves and wait for the shouty brigade.

In more normal times we could rely on common sense Tories to take no notice of these irritants. Dispense them with a clip around the ear. But now we have a coal sack leading the Council who is bewitched by her kitchen Cabinet of Fualks and Weale. The two witches love to drip the poison of "social responsibility and equality training" into coal sack's ear.

Poor dizzy fancies herself as a Socialist Trump, no less. Soon she will be tweeting to the mob "lets take the streets".

    Silly woman

  6. What is so wrong with taking a second look ? It takes a big politician to admit that a decision made in haste could have been made in error
