A COUNCIL FIGHTING HARD FOR THE ROYAL BROMPTON

The Council battled to save the Royal Brompton Hospital for residents as well as the thousands who come from outside the Borough to benefit from the hospital's world-class services.

                               Kemahli worked hard

The decision by the governors to accept the takeover( for that is exactly what it is) is shameful.

And more galling is the lack of public scrutiny which one governor eloquently highlighted.

This is a bad decision to be regretted for years to come.

Michael Mates, the lead governor, demonstrated his arrogance by filing his fingers and fiddling with his mobile during this vital meeting.

Mates has a disgraceful record when it comes to matters judgmental as does the chairman, Sally Morgan.

A shameful day for our Borough.

Praise in particular for Cllr Kemahli who fought hard to save the Royal Brompton.

  1. As expected the Board meeting was an embarrassing fiasco & Mates ?Morgan must now think that they have got away with it ? But I hope that The Dame will continue to Rally the Troops. For once the Council is doing its job properly & lets all Cheer the Cross party working - More Please!

As the Labour Group seems so unwilling to make good use of Cllr. Ian Henderson it is to be hoped that the campaign to Save the Brompton will keep him in the public eye & lead to better things. If appointment to public bodies were based on talent rather than grubby favours in the quangocracy Ian Henderson would be on the Board of The royal Brompton rather than stuck outside leading the protesters

  2. Typical of the Labour Group. keep talent, dedication and commitment on the side lines to allow the Dent Coad lot to shine.
