From time to time Lord 'Dan' Moylan calls the old Dame seeking career advice. She is always ready to be constructive especially when it involves relocating his Lordship to distant shores.
The purpose of Lord Dan's call was to ask of her two things.
With the new US president being an Irish Catholic it struck Lord Dan that the next ambassador to Washington should be someone sharing Old Joe's religious beliefs and blood...oh and other peoples' money like the Kennedy crew.
"Dame, would I not be the ideal chap to maintain the Special Relationship: after all, I did have a brief spell in the Diplomatic and Americans love a Lord even if not a proper one?"
The Dame diplomatically ignored the 'brief spell in the Diplomatic' but answered she would test the waters.
Lord Dan's other request was more difficult. "Dame, can you please stop ''avin a go' at Boris and pushing Mr Sunak.
Without Boris helping out an old chum I am stuck with just my £42k a year Lords allowance"
The Dame, being a patriot, could not help on the latter: Johnson being a clear and present danger to this country

Moylan as ambassador? He would start a war between our two countries
ReplyDeleteDaniel in Washington would be an inspired appointment. Able, polished, a great net worker, and sufficiently at ease with himself after his ennoblement to drop his previously nasty ways with subordinates.

ReplyDeleteBiden hates the British. He is the supporter of the terrorist Gerry Adams. Harris, his V-C hates us for different reasons. Both will make up with the EU and do GB down. The Special Relationship was a term coined by the Americans when they needed us. Forget them.
ReplyDeleteOur future lies with a fast evolving China. The Chinese are far easier to get on with than the Americans and they are the future. The US is the Old World. Already, the Chinese see London as a place they want to live and educate their children. They are even now buying heritage buildings. Palmerston said, " we have no permanent friends; no permanent enemies only permanent interests". Biden will do us down. Better to cast our lot in with the Chinese and fuck the EU and US.
