NEED THE POLICE? TELL THEM YOU HAVE BEEN RACIALLY ABUSED

If you have a break in and the police say they are too busy to attend here’s a tip...

Just tell ‘em the burglar made a racist comment as he fled your premises.
It doesn’t matter he didn’t ........just tell the police he did.
In a New York second you will have the entire Kensington police force at your service!

Mr. X is an elderly and long-time resident of this Borough: a man of seventy and impeccable character.

He fell into a dispute with a neighbour who persistently dumped rubbish bags on the pavement on non-collection days.

Our elderly resident politely asked him to refrain and was met with a barrage of abuse.... a calm discussion turned acrimonious.

Mr X decided that discretion was the better part of valour and retreated.

Four months after the incident you can imagine Mr X's shock, horror and extreme stress to receive an email from a PC Arthur Burrell asking him to attend Kensington Police Station to be investigated over a four month enquiry into alleged racially aggravated public order offence

The complainant was his Italian neighbour who embroidered his racial abuse story by saying the old boy had tried to assault him...a bit odd seeing as the Italian was half his age, very aggressive and frighteningly muscular.....

PC Burrell proposed a number of dates one of which required our elderly fellow with a weak heart to get up at 06:00 to be interviewed at 07:30.
Declining Mr. X was told he would have to come in on Saturday: again declined as he had other commitments.

Finally, a slightly more civilised time of 08:30 was chosen.
Our solid local citizen arrived at Kensington Police Station to be greeted by a MPS receptionist having a bit of banter with two young female colleagues.
Clearly irritated at being disturbed he yelled to PC Burrell, “there’s a guy here to see you”!

The ten-minute interview completed Mr. X was told he was free to go.

The following day he received an email from PC Burrell saying, “due to lack of evidence a decision has been made that no further action will be taken against yourself"

So, what was achieved in those four months of investigation taking many hours of police time?            Zilch

Worse-a member of the public with nothing more than a speeding offence was the subject of mendacious, vexatious and police time wasting  complaint.
Properly handled by the police the matter could have been closed down at the outset with an informal interview.

Don’t believe the police when they say they are short of resources: this incident proves they have time on their hands to stress out an innocent local resident of impeccable character.

  1. Time the Borough Commander read the Riot Act at his own station

  2. The police are clearly bent on wasting time. Now they want to arrest anyone with a cough. Surely our taxes and their time is much better spent policing the real threat of terrorism and serious organised crime? Rape and murder rates have risen dramatically in the capital, knife crime is up 43% in City of London alone, and the number of crime cases solved is down by 2% overall, yet the police can find time to faff around and interview an older gentleman about a disagreement with his neighbour... seems pathetic.

    1. I'm not surprised at all by the storyline. It all sounds too familiar.

    2. This type of low life is all too common in the Royal Borough. Some filthy rich Saudis in my block of flats were in the habit of depositing their rubbish on the pavement outside the flats. When the Managing Agent asked them to stop this odious practice the Saudis reported him to the Race Relations Board. And their lawyer wrote to other residents to assure us that their client is "a respectable person educated in America"

My vote is that the reptile should stay at home in Saudi and dump his rubbish there

  4. What has the Borough Commander have to say about this total waste of police time?

    1. When I was a boy, a clip around the ear sorted out this kind of problem. Rich Italians should understand that they are not here to waste police time and irritate British citizens.

  5. The police are forever tweeting rubbish instead of getting off their backsides and patrolling the streets

    1. PC plod is fed up with all this racial crap and all the stupid paperwork that takes priority over crime prevention. Trump should be appointed head of the Met - he would sort things out

The whole racial aggravation circus has got out of hand. The police hate it, and vexatious foreign citizens exploit the legislation to cause trouble and make themselves even more unwelcome in a country that could mostly do without the. Our OAP was most unfortunate to tangle with an Italian reptile. The filthy rich reptiles are the worst

  7. The Italian guy has obviously been wasting police time. There should be some kind of widely publicised sanction to deter such behaviour. The police should charge him with wasting time and Magistrates should issue a swift fine.

  8. They are now, along with the Army, protecting a common commodity which has become so precious these days. Who would have imagined? lol
