THE UNPUNISHED TREACHERY OF COUNCILLOR PALMER

Downes attacks traitor

Dear Dame,

Cllr Palmer's decision to aid the Brexit Party in the EU elections is a slap in the face for Queens Gate's voters: most must have assumed they had elected a dyed in the wool Tory rather than a disloyal turncoat.
Conservative MEP candidates in the East Midlands must also be feeling embittered knowing from Private Eye that Palmer was an agent in their downfall!

When Alastair Campbell announced that he was voting Lib Dem retribution was swift so why is Cllr Palmer's odious behavior tolerated?
Time the local association and CCHQ manned up and kicked out this two-timing embarrassment.

Sincerely, dear Dame,

Justin Downes

It seems that Cllr Palmer is a protected species......

  2. Extraordinary that he was on the Selection Committee and went out of his way to push the candidature of Felicity Buchan!

Mr Downes has a point! Labour has shown the way and set an example with the turncoat Campbell. There can be no justification for Cllr Palmer remaining a Conservative Councillor in Kensington and Chelsea

    1. Forget Campbell. Lord Heseltine was expelled for voting for the Lib Dems. Time for Central Office to squash whoever is shielding Palmer in Hornton Street

So Palmer is a double agent. The Tory Party will probably let him get away with it.

The Labour Party is no more principled than the Tory Party. Cllr Emma Dent Coad MP faced no sanction from Labour for her racist conduct. She published a picture of a black man hanging on a gallows and quoted some choice racist language. She got away with it, people of her class always do.

  5. The Dame should stop persecuting Cllr Palmer who works selflessly for the Conservatives. Without his unpaid help the Association Office would collapse, especially at election time

    1. Fantastic. A very convenient place for him to canvass for the Brexit Party surrounded by the confidential Conservative canvass returns. Complete madness to let him into the Association Office.

  6. Is the distinguished and handsome Mr Downes missing a monocle?

  7. The Dame mislaid her Pince Nez so I lent her my monocle.

  8. The Conservatives pay Palmer but he works for the Brexit Party whose mission is to destroy the Conservatives. Something wrong here

  9. Talking of treachery and treason Mr Downes clearly descends the cowardly regicide Colonel John Downes, a friend of Cromwell who narrowly escaped hanging and drawing.

  10. The Dames a whistleblower duh. Tories have a double agent on their hands and do nowt.

  11. At least the Dame has brought the treachery out into the open. Association Chairman Andrew Foster now has no hiding place. He should act and do what is required.

  12. Let’s be fair to Foster. He is a close friend of Councillor Palmer. Of course he doesn’t want to call out Palmer. Protect your friends whatever they do.

    1. Foster is the newish Chairman of the Conservative Association. He needs to be wary that people are watching and judging him. If he is protecting Palmer it is a very shortsighted initiative.

  13. Cllr Palmer campaigned for a party that was standing candidates against his own party. The evidence is clear. That normally is cause for immediate expulsion (it's more than Alastair Campbell did, he only admitted that he voted Lib-Dem after the fact, he didn't actually campaign for them). The fact that the Conservatives are protecting Palmer undermines their credibility as a party. And if you know Cllr Palmer and have seen the way he behaves that makes it even worse. Why would they protect this man?

Andrew Foster does not particularly care for Palmer but his budget has been cut back to such an extent that he has been forced to accept whatever "free" help is on offer.

  14. So that’s all right then Foster is short of money as Buchan was a dreadful treasurer so he can use a traitor to handle confidential information. Sack Foster, Buchan and Palmer or vote Lib Dem if the Conservative Party refuses to handle this.

  15. Imagine Britain on the edge of war and little Jo from the Lib Dems as PM.....terrifying!

  16. Johnson is pathetic. All mouth. Can’t even deal with Traitor Matthews. There is no hope for the Conservatives.
