BUS ROUTE 23 DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS AND OBJECTIONS FRIDAY JUNE 7

SAVE IT

Dear Resident Associations of Dalgarno, St Helens, Golborne, Colville, Pembridge, Queens Gate, Abingdon, Campden and Holland wards

We know that some(the Dame says MANY!) residents are not happy with the new route of the 23 bus (which now terminates at Hammersmith going via Hyde Park Corner and Kensington High Street).
Councillor Henderson and I met with Transport for London (TfL) to discuss whether the route could be changed.
TfL want to understand exactly why residents are not happy with this new route.
Please email me any comments that you may have regarding this route by Friday 7 June 2019 and I will collate your feedback and thereafter discuss with my contacts at TfL.
My email address is Ayesha.Flemming@rbkc.gov.uk
I should make clear that while TfL are not promising to make any changes at this stage, they will bear in mind any feedback received for any future changes.

    1. How could be possibly forget? We ll have different reason for you to remain indelibly inscribed on our minds.. BUT, what are you doing on this issue?
Now 23 is nothing but a rather short circular route. in the past we were able to go to the Strand and further. I guess this route was changed to reduce congestion in Oxford/Regent streets. But why to cut it so severely is beyond comprehension. Time to provide a valid argument - so let's try our hardest, guys

My god, how could we forget that Emma Dent Coad is our MP?

I'd like Linda Wade, the Lib Dem woman, on the Council to replace her at the next election. She knocks Dent Coad in to cock hats.

Linda is very popular. Emma divides, Linda unites.

  3. Route 23 in the old format, was a very useful bus route. It went to the West End and beyond. Now it is nothing but a circular route, as said above. The route could have been changed to avoid the heart of the W E, but run to its destination, also very handy for many rail travellers. Our dear MP should be more vocal and get involved, rather than just telling is who she is- as if we did not know already :-(((... SO, dear EDC, get on with it.

  5. Agree. How many buses do we need to go to Knightsbridge and Hyde Park Corner? To get to Oxford Street and beyond (an awkward journey by tube from Golborne ward) you need to get two buses now. Hammersmith is well served by transport and doesn’t need another bus terminating there. Also have to wait longer for buses on the route generally now

  6. bring back the old route. We need one bus to go to Liverpool street. We have already buses going to Hammersmith and High Street Kensington
