HARRODS-A MAGNET FOR SQUALOR

A TYPICAL HARRODS STREETSCAPE

When the Dame's dear friend, French thinker, Monsieur Sartre, said hell was other people he clearly had not been to Harrods recently.

The area has become an extension of Edgware Rd.
Brompton Road is now a squalid replication of some Middle Eastern city. Prostitutes, pickpockets, and cardsharps have entirely taken over the area.
Beauchamp Place-a once charming backwater, is dominated by shisha cafes with waiters bustling around the pavements bearing red hot buckets of charcoal. Health & Safe has gone out of the window just because the Council does not wish to upset the Middle Eastern visitors.

Sloane Street is now a racetrack for their monstrous supercars as they race each other, with aircraft like noise, at speeds of up to 100 miles an hour.
Do the police care? Seemingly not.

On the same subject of noise....
It seems the Council has at last taken heed of the thousands of complaints about busking and are considering a Borough-wide ban.

AN IDIOT DRUMMER BY HARRODS

But why has it taken pressure from residents to halt the nuisance? LINK

Write to the Leader of the Council, Cllr Campbell and tell her you want an immediate ban on all buskers and the police to come down hard on racing supercars.

  1. I understand that there is some kind of 'busking licence' that the musicians should apply for to the Council. I think the few of pavement musicians around Portobello Road have such permit. So, it is a matter of enforcement by our dear Police.
In respect of car noise, again it is a question of imposing existing legislation. It should be interesting to see what might happen if these supercars start revving up on Hackney's High Street. So, in short - Police get off your arses and do what you should do.

  3. What are the Brompton and Hans Town councillors doing? I understood that Walaa Idris was going to be the residents 'eyes and ears' - that was her stated intention during the election. Of course Town Hall 'itis' can quickly set in and committee work can seem so compelling..........

  4. Well, Mary Weale is a Brompton & Hans Town ward cllr and her mantra is 'we hear but we don't listen'. Cllr Idris has given up already leaving Cllr McVeigh to do all the graft.

  5. Dame says "The area has become an extension of Edgware Rd.
Brompton Road is now a squalid replication of some Middle Eastern city."

Like the previous article on Rubbish, this is how their city is and they are only making themselves at home. After all, you are meant to be hospitable and not appear to be hostile? Sharia law is slowly introduced to our country (Sharia court already in place), perhaps we would end up prostrating to allah sooner than you think?

  6. Government considers that this is progress - Labour are no different from the Tories. And S Khan is the most terrible and pathetic of all of them. "We are an inclusive society and the rubbish people are part of those to be included". Only Farage understands that the rot has to stop and these ridiculous people need to be stopped at Calais and Heathrow so that we retain our culture and civilisation.
