BASE BASSAM AND TOWERING CORRUPTION

Nothing the old Dame likes more than curling up close to a blazing log fire with the Mail on Sunday, carefully ironed by her faithfully retainer, Phelps, the disgraced ex-mayor of K&C.
The Labour Party never stops banging on about ethics but it seems to be a case of 'the more they talk of honesty the faster I count my spoons'
Are politicians genetically modified to be bent?

Rip off Merchant 1
The other day we read that Milord Bassam, a close mate of Comrades McDonnell and Corbyn, had been ripping off the taxpayer to the tune of close to £300,000...obviously a man of the people!

Rip off Merchant 2
Then, today, we read that this smug little bugger, Abdul 'Shuks' Khalisadar, claims to be a gatekeeper for Tower Hamlets Labour councillors and able to swing planning consents: in other words.. a conduit for bribes.

The whole shocking story is HERE

You thought K&C was bad?....ungifted amateurs compared to these two shockers!

The Sunday Times did a double page spread on this latest episode of Tower Hamlets corruption.
Thank goodness we have a powerful free press feared of no one otherwise we plebs would know nothing.
Clearly, there is much 'corruption Momentum' in Tower Hamlets.

  1. At last, the Dame weighs into the Labour Party for corruption. I am getting fed up with the Momentum driven Labour Party being portrayed as angelic: anyone with a memory knows that when the hard left of the Labour wing get going they are as ruthless and corrupt as the others....a bullying, mendacious bunch of doubletalking hypocrites

  2. Our MP is strongly supported by Momentum, but by very few of her council colleagues. I hope the Dame is not accusing her of corruption.

    1. Emma is her own person and can distance herself from the antics of Momentum.
There is no doubt that Momentum in Tower Hamlets is vile and negative influence, evidenced by the dissolute and corrupt behaviour of certain cllrs. If Momentum was as pure as it pretends it would deselect these unprincipled bounders
Now away with you and your trouble making!

Funny thing. Milord Bassam looks like the twin of Colin Campbell - dizzy lizzy's hubby!

    3. Colin Campbell is not a socialist. He is Commodore of the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes.

  3. Thank goodness for the Dame and her constant exposure of wrongdoing in the Royal Borough. Land values in Kensington are greater than Tower Hamlets. The corruption here could be infinitely worse were it not for the Dame

  4. This is a shocking story in the Times. Local Government seems to bring out the worst in human nature. Labour and Tories. It is a great protection for rate payers if Councillors know that they are being watched by blogs such as the Hornet.

  5. So why was EDC outside the Town Hall at the Revolutionary Communist Party demonstration instead of inside with her colleagues fighting the injustices that the Grenfell residents are experiencing? She cannot continue to hunt with the hounds and run with the hare.

    1. Did everyone hear Dizzy Lizzy on the TODAY Programme today? A disgrace. By her own admission residents have no confidence in her. She has failed as a Leader because she is not a Leader. She has to go.

How much longer will Tory Councillors continue to support this electoral liability?

    2. Cllr Campbell has been showing incompetence and lack of Leadership for six months. Starting last Sunday in the Sunday Times the press has now declared open season. She got another roasting this morning on the TODAY programme. And the media pressure will build and be relentless.

If Campbell has any sense she will throw in the towel before she is obliterated.

    3. EDC was in fact being barracked by the Revolutionary Communist Group for being a social cleanser, which is bizarre after her years of campaigning for the very opposite. I believe she had to return to Westminster to vote but had come out briefly with another MP to support local protestors.

    4. She was there briefly with Kate Osamor, Labour MP for Edmonton but had to as the commenter above says, return to Westminster to vote. She briefly spoke to the protestors on a microphone provided by the Revolutionary Communist Group outside, but then Cllr David Lindsay also used their microphone when protestors confronted him outside his house not so long ago.....

  6. Surprise surprise. Grenfell report will not be available by March 2018, as was promised.

  7. Dizzy had 6 months to mount a recovery. Instead she has over promised and under delivered. And made excuses. She reeled out another dozen excuses on the radio this morning. Not up to the job.

All over the world there are natural catastrophe episodes. Earth quakes, floods, tsunamis. If you know what to do, recovery plans get put in place and implemented and communities get on their feet again. K&C was not equipped to cope and did not know how to call in the experts. And still does not know how to empathise and show humility.

Cllr Campbell saw a chance for fame and jumped on the bandwagon. Basket case

  8. A few facts:
Although the Daily Mail and the Daily Express likes to call Lord Bassam "Corbyn's aid" because he's been Labour’s Chief Whip in the Lords, he actually a person strongly opposed to Corbyn. He was ennobled by Tony Blair and was elected Chief Whip of the House of Lords in 2008 (during Brown's reign). The big difference between whips in Commons and the Lords is that the whips in the Lords are elected within the ranks of the party’s peers rather than being appointed by the party leader, and can't be deposed by the party leader. Bassam was part of the June 2016 rebellion against Corbyn and has apparently refused to attend shadow cabinet meetings since then.

As for the Tower Hamlets' bribe attempt story - where a "fixer" called Abdul Shukur Khalisadar approached a developer, promising to help him get a planning application for a skyscraper approved if he paid Khalisadar £2 million that he would forward to four unnamed Labour councillors on the planning committee - this all happened in 2015, in the wake of the firing of the vote rigging Tower Hamlet mayor Lutfur Rahman. The then newly elected Labour mayor John Biggs took action as soon as the developer contacted him of the bribe attempt. He reported the matter to the Serious Fraud Office, which in turn passed the matter on to the National Crime Agency, which is still investigating.

These two affairs have nothing to do with Corbyn or Momentum, but may possibly be linked back to the reigns of Blair and Brown, as they once helped both Steve Bassam and Lutfur Rahman's clique of corrupt Bangladeshis to power.

The two year old Tower Hamlet bribe story was revealed by the Sunday Times yesterday, and the Daily Mail article (which the Dame links to) tells less than half of that story - where the really interesting thing is that the Tower Hamlets council actually refused the planning application for the skyscraper in question, but was overruled by Boris "Skyscraper" Johnson.

I would suggest that the Dame stops using the Daily Mail and the Daily Express as sources of information.

    2. ...and do you suggest the dear old Dame stop reading the Sunday Times and its centre spread on the corruption in a hard Left Labour Borough? What other papers would you like her to halt reading? Anything that critiques Momentum?
