LIB DEMS....THE PARTY THAT KEEPS ON FAILING YOU!

Dear Dame

Well, Tim Farron's manifesto launch went off like a saturated squib, didn't it?
The content was so boring....so unimaginative that most political journalists yawned and gave it just a few lines.
The keystones of Lib Dem policy seem to be legalising prostitution(Tim, for all intents and purposes it is); stopping gender stereotyping in schools(?) and protection of bees and hens....oh, and give the vote to 16 year olds.
All good nation changing stuff!

As for Tim himself....what can one say? When Farage described Van Rumpuy as having all the charisma of a bank manager he might have been describing poor old Tim.

WEIRDO!

Imagine Tim negotiating with the EU?
He wouldn't have a clue and would jump when told by Herr Juncker to do so.

What actually has Tim done with his life?
It seems to have been entirely spent in low-grade government service.

And that's really the problem facing the Lib Dems: they just seem unable to attract winners and are so lacklustre.
Even when they have an occasional run of luck it's short lived and never glittering!

We have seen that in K&C.
Their few days of success were based on the same old, tired formula of running around promising the earth; badmouthing opponents and failing to deliver.

Voters aren't dumb: that's why they decimated the Lib Dem councillor contingent last time around.

Sadly, Miss Mullin from Lambeth is trying the same trick but with a different spin,

She and her little gang of amateurs are running around bad mouthing Victoria Borwick and Emma Dent Coad.
You may not like their politics but Victoria and Emma have substantial track records fighting for residents.

What exactly have the Lib Dems done for Kensington & Chelsea?
Zilch! Just like Tim and his daft manifesto.... damp squibs.
Remember that when ex-copper, Miss Mullin from Lambeth, comes knocking on your door.....

Yours respectfully from 'Up North' of the Borough

    2. She was raised in Chelsea? You mean she was born here. She tries to give the impression she is strongly connected to K&C when she knows nothing of the area. She is misrepresents herself totally.
I suppose you are her hubby!!

Cllr The Chairman Julie Mills keeps a close eye on the antics of Rock, a very short sighted appointment by piggy to be Deputy Leader.

You judge a Leader by the people he surrounds himself with.

  4. You accuse Miss Mullin of bad-mouthing opponents while doing the very same thing to her. Pot. Kettle. I have not yet decided which candidate to back: a decision not made any easier by May's and Corbyn's arrogant refusal to participate in last night's televised debate, lest their stage-managed performance come a cropper at the hands of a guilfeul Ms Sturgeon,I fancy. However, Mrs May chose to frame this premature election around Brexit. Lady Borwick backs Brexit; an overwhelming majority of her constituents do not. Mr Corbyn has failed to provide any meaningful opposition to Brexit. The Lib Dems' position on Brexit is totally transparent - a referendum on a potentially weak and damaging deal cobbled together by any strong and stable government.

  5. Dimwit@ 11:44 I live in Notting Hill. Miss Mullin's crew are spreading a load of lies.
The Lib Dems have only one card to play...Brexit. They are born losers. The idea that Corbyn and May are worried about being up against Sturgeon is the product of a numbskull. The skids are under the SNP. No one in Scotieldand wants another referendum. There are many constituences which are leave yet have a sitting Remainer MP. What's the problem? It's called conviction politics but as the Lib Dems have no convictions about anything it's beyond them!
The Lib Dems couldn't negotiate their way out of paper bag. Have you ever met a senior Lib Dem who's had a decent business career? No. Why? Because they are generally hopeless.

There have been a lot of comments about the way Victoria has looked after disabled people, so just a comment if I may. As a lawyer who worked for years as a volunteer in the Islington neighbourhood law centre and as an experienced councillor I often helped Victoria at her advice surgeries. I also am the proud father of a lovely daughter with severe learning difficulties. My experience of Victoria in these surgeries is that she has fought tooth and nail for the rights of disabled people and people with learning difficulties. She has been total supportive of the two wonderful charities in Kensington Full of Life and ADKC. What have the other candidates done for disabled people or people with learning difficulties?

      Delete
    3. I agree completely with everything that Cllr Freeman has said, I too am the father of a beautiful daughter with learning difficulties. Victoria Borwick has fought for the rights of disabled people and those with learning difficulties, as Deputy Mayor of London she was responsible for Hidden Hate a report on disibility hate crime across London.

      Delete
    4. Agreed, Victoria Borwick is one of the few local politicians who seems to actually care and who works actively to help families with disabled children.

      Delete
    5. Lady Borwick is to be commended for looking after disabled people. But in what way is she or her party looking after the disenfranchised, those EU citizens, lives in limbo, at the mercy of her boss's cynical chess game? How is she looking after London businesses and services that will be wrecked should the Tory Right's barmy Brexit 'strategy' and damaging immigration policy prevail?

  9. Miss Mullin is boasting of her local street cred by saying she once used to flog clothes at Monsoon, Kensington. Was it a Saturday job?

Doesn't sound very impressive set against Borwick's record deep down work for all differing residents.
Sorry, I was a remainer but life goes on. If Mullin thinks that she will scoop my vote she's mistaken.
She's had plenty of time to get involved in the constituency and has done nothing.
    give it a rest, darling.

Ms Annabel wants to be in Westminster. She has got the Lib Dems image makers behind her. They know how to get a show together. So far, so good. But she also needs skin in the game. A good bedside manner is not enough for Kensington. She needs to know where the thermometer goes.

Victoria Borwick has a very solid achievement of engagement in Kensington and Chelsea politics. First as a Councillor and then as an MP. She is committed, approachable, and nothing is too difficult. All of that is great but the magic is that she really cares.

Elections are exciting and all kinds of shooting stars suddenly appear as prospective MPs. But the reality is that if there is a sitting candidate who is dedicated, knows their way around, how to pull the levers, and embraces resident issues, then it needs careful thought about the wisdom of making a change. The grass may not always be greener on the other side......

  12. Residents of Kensington face great uncertainty. The Tri Borough has collapsed and the Hornton Street organisation needs to be rebuilt and priorities established for residents. Possible Borough changes mean that our boundaries may be re drawn. What will be the impact of Brexit on local life? North Kensington is the focus for unprecedented development by the property spivs. The last bastion of affordable housing in the Borough (North Kensington) is under threat. The Carnival is spiraling out of control and sinking deeper into crime. All of these issues, and more, need an experienced representative to make sure that the wishes of residents are understood and heard. Learning on the job is not and should not be an option

Boring to see Vicky's pirates on here, must see the SS Borwick is taking on water and no way to bail.

    2. Her life experiences also include being a hardworking mother, Local Councillor, Deputy Mayor of London and MP, who has gained expertise in a wide range of issues but who ultimately cares about her constituents. These are the facts and nothing to do with Piracy, apologies if the truth bores.

    3. No, Victoria's life experience is years in recognised public service in London and particularly in Kensington & Chelsea. You don't become Deputy Mayor of London without having certain skills.
Your candidate has spent her time fiddling around with a variety of non jobs. Annabel is a bit cheeky thinking that she, a Lambeth based carpet bagger with no real experience of life other beating the streets of Soho can supplant Borwick whose energy and experience of London is deep. Annabel is fighting on one historic issue...Brexit. That's over and the Lib Dems have no control over the outcome.

  14. Owl is absolutely right. The tri borough has created a complete mess, leading to a Town Hall coup of incompetent staff from Hammersmith and Westminster. It was a Bog Off Deal created by the dreadful Cockell who knew that the Cabinet lead by Piggy would be incapable of untangling it, he was right. The standards of all services have dropped to a dreadful state. Primary schools are struggling to maintain their buildings, and staff teams, care homes are rating 'good' by CQC, previous staff who took pride in their work left by the droves, the BT payments schemes and SEN Transport instigated by Westminster are a complete disaster, the list goes on. The only people who could possibly turn this round would be Robert Freeman or Juliet Mills at the helm with Victoria Borwick as our MP. This would be a strong, stable team for Kensington and Chelsea Residents. As for the vicious rumours that Victoria Borwick does not care about disabled people they are a complete lie. Her work with local groups ADKC, Full of Life, MENCAP evidences this.

  17. I am worried about the absence of a Labour campaign in Kensington. Mrs May and Lady B have given them so many open goals – the smug smile of Lady B persuading Mrs May to allow the wholesale slaughter of elephants to continue; the dementia tax; exchanging a daily hot and nutritious meal for small children with a sugar-coated bowl of cereal are just a few. Yet Labour is just talking to a small group of their voters in North Kensington, while the Lib Dems roam far and wide snapping up the anti-Tory vote. Get a grip, ED-C!

  18. Dame, one reason I shall not be voting for Lady Borwick is because the local Conservatives are forcing paladin bins in our roads.

They take over our car spaces, cause indsutrial scale fly tipping and have encourage foxes and rats to the area. Which means all of us in borough have to pay more in tax to clear up because of this mess.

If you could have a word in the ear of your compatriot the MP for Kensington, as for some reason the local Conservative Cllrs Spalding & Aouane are big supporters of this thoough these bins are not in their roads.

If these bins were to disappear and never return Lady Borwick could count on our vote which is in the thousands.

It is outside the control of Parliament and the MP. You should continue to talk to your Ward Councillors about it.

    3. If all local issues are council responsibility then what is the point of an MP, she should throw her weight behind residents, not hide behind "outside the control of Parliament".

For a local girl she's not really dealing with local issues which is the platform she is campainging on.

Get a new line Bobby, Kensington residents are not falling for it!

If Borwick can get Prime Minister to drop ivory trade ban then she can get the Council to ge rid of these bins.

One phonecall Freeman, that's all it takes.

    5. Are you bonkers? First of all we have the bonkers Lib Demmers who are so corrupt that they refused to return the £3m donated by Michael Brown, a convicted fraudster, accusing Borwick of not answering emails when her office has found not ONE instance of that happening and then implying that the antiques trade is trading in ivory!
No wonder no one trusts the Lib Dems!

You must be wetting yourselves to bring that little nugget up on here. Truth is many votes are going to Labour and Lib Dems in Kensington because of the inaction of local Tories, a little suburban clique who will soon be out on their ear.

Stop throwing stones, your glass house is not strong enough.
