Cllr Palmer has forced the Dame to exclude all comments on forthcoming candidates-positive or negative. Cllr Palmer has been posting a series of defamatory comments which leave the poor old Dame vulnerable to actions for defamation.
On this morning's BBC1 programme 'The Big Question' there was a debate on whether MP's are entitled to second jobs. The speakers responded by commenting on how little time MPs had to do anything, beyond the huge number of hours they devoted to their constituents' problems and attending the House. It was also repeatedly stated that if residents are dissatisfied with their MP's performance, they have the choice of voting them out. Unfortunately there was no one from K & C to make it clear to the audience that neither statement is relevant to this most Rotten of Constituencies or Boroughs.
This is why the choice of Tory candidate is so significant. The reality is that in a few days time, thirty or how ever many Conservative party members it is, will elect our new MP. The rest of us are irrelevant, unless we vote en masse for A.N. Other!

Who is this person Palmer who seeks to suppress the public's right to engage in the democratic process?
ReplyDeleteGood grief, didn't he do this with another lady Councillor at Christmas? Whatever is wrong with the man?
DeletePalmer is the Councillor the Labour party most fear, they had his ward abolished via a boundary review.

The people who he really frightens are his colleagues. He can be such an embarrassment. As the first Duke of Wellington famously said.

That's why we need someone we know and trust; not a transplant from Con HQ. Borwick is tried and tested
DeleteFound guilty of doing two important jobs and caring for residents.
