CAMPDEN HILL RESIDENT'S ASSOCIATION SALUTE THE DAME!
Campden Hill Resident's Association is one of the Borough's best. Chairman, David White, puts up with no nonsense and fights hard to promote the interests of residents. Thus, the old Dame was thrilled to receive this pat on the back in the Christmas Newsletter.
So nice of Mr White to make a link to the web site and publicise it - In the same way Lord McAlpine sued those who re-tweeted Sally Bercows comments - anyone who feels they have been libelled by the hornet now can sue Mr White and the Campden Hill residents Association as they are acting as a distributer.
Sir David....I thought you were meant to be a 'hot shot' libel lawyer? Certainly, you've had some 'colourful' clients...the late Jeremy Thorpe(possibly about to be proved to have been instrumental or complicit in a murder); the quite dreadful daughter of an SS officer, Princess Michael of Kent, and the family of Italian mafia banker, Roberto Calvi.
However, your comment-so clumsily written, can only have emanated from the very thick Matthew Palmer. The Dame has now been exposing corruption for four years. She has yet to receive a libel writ from any scummy, low life libel lawyer so the CHRA can sleep easily at night. To steal from Jonathan Aitken..."the Dame wields the steely sword of truth".
Apologies from the Dame...Ludo and some of his gang took the old thing out for some Xmas festivities and she got, as Ludo says, throughly 'hammered' on some dreadful concoction.
David K White has been at the helm of the Campden Hill Residents Association for many years and was one of the early Chairmen to spot the futility and dishonesty of the Council's consultation processes. He now engages directly and is fighting a battle with the Headmaster of Holland Park School to get him to honour his legal undertaking (a condition precedent in the Planning Process) to allow residents to use the school's sports facilities. After all, residents shelled out £100 million for the new school. Having made the promise, in order to obtain funding, the odious Headmaster Hall is now pretending that he "forgot" while telling associates that he does not want residents tramping around his new school.
The Dame has served her Apprenticeship and The Hornet is now mainstream. A source of information, action and campaigning for residents, Associations and local and national journalists. She is not beholden to any Political Party, self serving Councillor or corrupt Official and Councillor (few in number but one is too many). She is returning transparency to the Royal Borough and doing her bit for the democratic process. Tree cheers for the Dame
The Hornet is the best thing that's happened in the Rotten Borough for decades. Hornton St is terrified of her reforming zeal and ever widening influence.

ReplyDeleteand it's upper case H in Hornet
DeleteIf David White knows what is good for him and his Association he will give the Hornets Nest a wide berth. A very wide berth indeed.
DeleteI think David White is hardly likely to take the advice of a pompous prat like you! Men like White have balls.

The lawyers like to huff and puff. Just like Cllr Cockle. We are all amazed to know that Pooter is still hanging around Hornton Street.
DeleteThe Dame gave you a big kick up your fat ass eh Cllr Palmer?
ReplyDeleteAt least 1935 can spell CAMPDEN...
