CHELSEA INDEPENDENT GROUP TO FIELD 3 CANDIDATES IN STANLEY WARD

The Dame has just received this update from the Chelsea Independent Group

The Group are now running for the three Stanley Ward council seats.

Their candidates are:

Heinz Schumi
Ian Henderson
Andrew Barshall

Their message is pretty straightforward....." CHELSEA FOR CHELSEA PEOPLE"

  1. They'll have the support of more than just the residents of Stanley. Those of us in neighbouring wards will be egging them on and asking our friends and neighbours who do live in Stanley to send the Council an appropriately strongly worded message. Polite but forceful, of course. This is Chelsea after all.

    1. We don't need to be polite. The Council are allowing our community to be destroyed. Chelsea is supposed to be an rebellious, arty, bohemian, and above all mixed community. Whether you live in a multi-million pound house or a flat or one of our many Council estates, if you live in Chelsea you belong here. That anyone on the Council could contemplate otherwise is a disgrace. They deserve a good kicking at the ballot box.

  2. Didn't Pooter work for Andrew Barshall's father?

  3. It is a sad state of affairs when so-called Conservatives do so little to conserve anything and ordinary residents find themselves with no choice but to do the job of their failed elected representatives.

  4. I wish I had a vote in Stanley!

    1. It would be nice to be able to vote for these three candidates. However, you'd have to live in Stanley and your current Ward Councillors would be Merrick, Warrick and Pascal. You're better off up north.

  5. Dear Dame, I think this post is a victim of the 'NO POSTING ON THE HORNET' order from Nick PB. They are all cringing and desperate to comment, but don't dare in case they get found out. Pathetic.

  6. Inspector Clouseau is still posting.

    1. Oh, but Clouseau has his own rule-book, didn't you know? He can break any number of rules from the Councillors' Code of Conduct and get away with it. He finds it funny when he gets hauled in and has a ticking-off, but is quite unmanageable and impervious to criticism.

He sees himself on a mission; quite alarming really.

    2. We all wish he was on a mission to get shot of himself.

    3. Give him time. He's a slow learner.

  7. It would be good to know that Labour and Lib Dems will stand aside so it becomes an election about Cockell's 14 years of misrule

    1. I agree. This is a rotten borough in every sense of the term.

If the Independents are to have any chance of success, they need to obtain every vote that they can get. Traditional Labour and Lib Dem voters would be unlikely to vote Tory. Cockell, Pascall and Warwick may catch a cold if Labour, Lib Dem and disgruntled Tories vote for the Independent candidates..Hard to imagine the local Labour Group giving way to expediency or pragmatism.

  8. Totally Brilliant, not only are they selling out Chelsea they are selling our the whole of the Borough. By stealth the Royal Borough is being trashed. Its time the residents of this Borough did something to make them accountable.

    1. Agreed! One may not live in Stanley Ward but one can still support the Independent Councillors to-be by going round to Heniz Schumi's place of work and asking WHAT CAN I DO? You can pick your issue,.

    2. Residents of the borough who live in other wards should be encouraged to stamd themselves - for Independent Councillors.. If you are over 18 and have some issues you are interested in - famlies, older people, health, double basements, the Planning Department, or whatever affects all our daily lives - you could stand for Councillor There's a lot on the web on how to do this. It is free and easy to do.
