ANOTHER HOLLAND PARK SCHOOL SCANDAL

A hard hitting censure motion at the Council meeting tonight....
Cockell plundered £100 million from Borough assets to rebuild the school hoping to get his fat backside on the red leather of the Lords.... and a juicy allowance.
So far it has no paid dividends....

However, it has paid massive dividends to manipulative Headmaster Hall who continues to flex his midget muscles as a newly independent Academy School.
Hall's first act was to tear up the agreement allowing residents to use the school sports facilities.
NO ENTRY FOR RESIDENTS
Now he wants to remove the priority criteria for children attending Royal Borough Primary schools from his Admissions Criteria.
Hard headed Cllr Robert Atkinson will lead the debate and remind Councillors that there is a long standing shortage of secondary school places for Borough children and tax payers funded the new school to address this issue.
Atkinson will remind everyone that "rebuilding the school cost three times more than the sum recommended by the Michael Gove and way over the original budget".
Cllr Atkinson is hoping that Cllr Elizabeth Rutherford will use her best endeavours to ensure that Holland Park remains a local school. Of course, Atkinson is wasting his time: she will do what she is told.

  1. I thought that this was a send up by the Dame - the wicked old thing has flights of fancy from time to time. But after checking the Council website I see that this is the motion for debate tonight. What an outrage

    1. Cllr Atkinson needs to do the right thing by residents and give the Tory front bench "six of the best". Getting through to Cllr Rutherford is more of a problem. She will be in her usual comatose state of Thatcher impersonation. Mr Rutherford bought a new set of elocution lessons for the dreadful woman as a Christmas present

    2. Rutherford is quite simply out of her depth and clearly doesn't understand what's happening.

That she might also appear to be making a serious attempt to blend in with the wood paneling during the meeting is mere illusion, honest.

  2. Good luck to Headmaster Hall. The carpet bagger got his school, got his new Chairwoman, and has got shot of pathetic Councillors and painful residents. Now he can get shot of all those dreadful North Kensington children who diminish his school and make hay with his new £100 million toy. What an operator!

  4. This what happens when we tolerate Councillors like Cockell whose sole interest is self interest. The big picture gets lost and they forget that their job is to represent residents.

  5. Napoleon Hall has told all the primary school heads in North Kensington that their children are no longer welcome at his brand spanking new Academy. He expects them all to go to the Kensington academy in future.

    1. Nice to see another borderline megalomaniac has made it through the Council's recruitment practices.

  6. Hall is sitting on an incredible opportunity to "sex up" his school. More and more well off parents in his immediate vicinity can no longer afford £35k per year for school fees (thats £70k per year before tax) and it is a market that is ripe for the taking. Once N Kensington moves out of the playground the school will start to look respectable.

    1. Labour is fuming. EDC missed the opportunity for her kids and had to educate them privately

  7. My understanding is that Emma Dent Coad's children(unlike you Matthew) are very bright and won scholarships so stop being a silly jealous little boy. BTW do you want to put the record straight about the very expensive telephone calls you tried to avoid paying for? Naughty boy

  8. The Council has terminated the failed Comprehensive experiment in the Royal Borough and replaced it with a Grammar School. They are to be congratulated

  9. While the new school might have been mostly Pooter's ego trip, Hall was very definitely a Myres appointment. As the winds of change are blowing in Hornton Street it would be good if they blew hard enough to put this jumped up, arrogant little pipsqueak in his place. He's headmaster of a secondary school and needs to learn to do as he's told, he's not the CEO of a multi-national.

  10. Napoleon Hall made a grand speech at tonight’s Council meeting. Unfortunately he chose the wrong vehicle to deliver it – Cllr. Mrs. Elizabeth Rutherford. She was so busy trying to practice the plethora of words or three or more syllables that Hall had written for her that she failed to listen to Cllr Atkinson’s speech moving the motion. So, sadly, she included several facts in the speech that were entirely untrue and were clearly figments of Hall’s fevered imagination. Had she listened, instead of trying to grapple with those really very difficult big words, she could have amended her delivery accordingly. But, alas a step too far for a lovely Tory lady of limited intelligence. But a superb demonstration of devotion from a loyal poodle!

    1. Dotty Rutherford attacked Cllr Atkinson for not knowing what he was talking about. She forgot that he is a School Governor. How can the Borough function with Cabinet Members like Rutherford.? Take a grip, Nick.

    2. The most obvious error in Cllr.Rutherford's feeble speech (and clearly the only para she penned herself ) was her claim that at the time of the Blair/ Brown government HPS was 'a sink' school. The truth is that HPS achieved and retained 'Outstanding' status long ago and it therefore begs the question as to why it was therefore so important for them to become an Academy.

Cllr Atkinson proposed the motion with all the authority of one of the schools Governors. He pointed out that within weeks of getting Academy status the Headmaster dumped the undertaking to let residents use the school sports facilities and then in short order dumped obligations to admit Borough children to the school. This was a lone voice crying in the wilderness of Tory shame. Not one single Tory Councillor could do the right thing and vote for what is right. Shame on every one of them

Cllr Todd Foreman demonstrated the ruthless elitist path that the Headmaster has embarked upon. Colin Hall has introduced school uniforms in a school where most of the pupils are so poor (56%) that they require free school meals. But "look good" Hall has introduced school uniforms that cost parents £467. We know where he is headed......

  13. ... as a local parent I can tell you that the quality of these uniforms is truly dreadful - presumably to stop us selling them or giving them to less fortunate parents when our child outgrows them. More money for the sole supplier - monopoly suppliers being frowned upon even by Mr. Gove. Is the school getting a cut?

  14. Cllr Fielding-Mellen made a rare appearance at the Council meeting, managing a night off from fathering. The reptile needs a haircut badly and his interventions were very squeaky - what an inadequate performer. Three seats down from Pooter, they exchanged admiring glances throughout the evening. Of course Rock was full of praise for his late mentor and thought "wiring up" a great idea. Cracking good stuff.

    1. I thought Cllr Paget-Brown had retired his Deputy Leader to be a full time father? Extended paternity leave at least. Has something gone wrong, Dame?

  15. Dame Rutherford had an exciting moment in her life. Words that were quite beyond her comprehension, a debate that was outside her competence and a subject that is alien to her. And well stuffed by Hall.

    A hoot.
