POOLS AND HALL

The Dame 'en famille' in Biarritz
The Dame loves to expose her body to the sea and had been looking forward to taking the plunge in the new Holland Park School swimming pool.

She was even hoping that other facilities at the school will be(as promised when planning permission was granted) available to her knitting circle.
But the Dame is privy to 'inside information' that confirms headmaster, Colin Hall, has been negotiating with RBK&C to find ways of blocking residents intent on making the school perform its obligations.

Next week the Dame will be making a few waves and Mr Hall and the planning dept may find themselves in at the 'deep end'.....
It is quite simple: a commitment to the residents, who funded the school was enshrined in a planning condition. There is no reason to break that condition.

  1. Please don't blame Mr. Wilson, He is an innocent officer tasked with communicating on behalf of the Council leadership. He has no say in the decisions.

  2. An entirely fair point and the Dame will direct blame where it id due.....not at a couple of innocent officers. This is a huge mess and the architect of the mess is Hall and his governors. The Council and the school must deliver their promises.

  3. Cllr Paget-Brown should hang his head in shame. This is all part of the obliteration of democracy in Kensington and Chelsea. It is happening on his watch. He is a disgrace to the Conservatives, to his Office, and to himself

    1. What do you expect? The Headmaster is a determined little runt, the Councillors are weak and ineffectual, and the Officers did a "deal".

Cllr Lindsay, Chairman of the Scrutiny Committee, is on fire. Private meetings have been taking place between the school and "Hornton Street Representatives" and the contents are being kept secret. This is not how democracy is supposed to work. Having been stitched up once before by Cockell's Cabinet over the school plans, Cllr Lindsay has a score to settle and has told friends that he will not be intimidated again.

  5. Paget-Brown continues to make a fool of himself. Practical politics demands that he takes a stand with one of these high profile tax abuses (Holland Park Opera is another) but the weasel is just too feeble to do anything
