A GOODBYE TO ERMINE

To Birmingham and a busy week for The Dame. An old friend....a  shady 'entrepreneur' and Conservative Party Donor, asked The Dame to be his guest at last week's  Conference  'Business Dinner' hosted by none other than the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Osborne!

Clearly this vulgar man thought he would bathe in the reflected glory of The Dames' inimitable class and style and thus assist in grooming himself for his peerage.
Amongst, the assembled guests The Dame spotted our local Br'um Boy made good, Cllr Moylan.  Cllr Moylan seemed less than keen to greet the Dame......
Talking of peerages-which every common little politician seems desperate to get, the Dame picked up some very bad 'local' news....

The Dame fell into conversation with a rather important Treasury PPS. When the dreary little fellow found out the Dame was from Kensington & Chelsea he detonated with anger. " Is not the Leader of your Council Cllr Sir Merrick Cockell." Replying in the affirmative the Dame's new found friend said, " I can tell you that he will not getting a peerage he has been lobbying so hard for:George and the Prime Minister are furious with him."

NO PLACE FOR POOTER!
As the Dame recently pointed out Pooter has gone head to head with the PM twice....the first time when he got over enthusiastic attacking the Government over plans to interfere with local planning issues. At that time a very serious Pooter warned Treasury plans would transform the Planning Inspectorate into a “super quango” riding roughshod over the wishes of local people. (yes, he an expert on quangos)
And yesterday Pooter said the LGA rejected Government plans to loosen planning regulations on conservatories and extensions.
Pooter now realises that he will never get his fat behind on the red leather of the Lords: thus he decided he has no need to hold back on his fury at being denied becoming the first Lord Pooter. Has the man finally gone mad?

As Mr Powell once said, "All political lives-even Pooter Cockells'- unless cut off in midstream.... at a happy juncture, end in failure, because that is the nature of politics and of human affairs"

  2. it's a pun

moylan comes from birmingham also known as brum - hence brum boy

brum boy also sounds like somebodys sexual proclivities - work it out for youself

  3. Dreadful, dreadful news. Cameron does not tolerate disloyalty and K&C will be stuck with the useless, unemployable Sir Pooter until he draws his pension.

It is common knowledge that Greg Hands, MP for Fulham and PPS at the Treasury, despises Cockell as a jumped up creep and hates "fragrant" Frazer- Howells who he thinks is odious

  5. Cllr Sir Merrick Cockell is the respected Leader of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Agent Jonathan Frazer-Howells is the distinguished administrator of the Conservative Party in the Royal Borough. Readers of the Hornet should be clear about these things in their minds

    1. From the Daily Mail
A pregnant Tory candidate quit after a senior party official, Jonathan Frazer-Howells said the sight of a pregnant woman’s stomach ‘made him sick’, it was claimed last night.

The alleged remark enraged Joanne Cash, who is standing in Westminster North at the Election and is a prominent member of David Cameron’s army of ‘Cameron Cutie’ women Parliamentary candidates.

  6. Cllr Cockell is the "nominal" Leader of K&C. He is currently deploying himself as Chairman of the LGA but the LGA does not pay well so he is hanging on to his £70k allowance from K&C council tax payers while he tries to find some more money elsewhere

  7. Sir Merrick Cockell a respected leader? This is the man who used our money to buy Virgin Upper Class airline tickets for trips to the US, staying in 5* hotels and bought £300 dinners for his friend and convicted fraudster, Ian Clement. This is the man who rakes in £130,000 a year from taxpayers for double jobbing and who buzzes off on holidays during the Olympics.
Turning to JFH....there have been one or two little issues around this man and his partner(ex).
Readers of the Hornet should be clear about these two.....
Stop writing rubbish 12.24. In actual fact Cockell hates Frazer-Howells and would love to get rid of him!

  9. The great Bleeder will be here for as long as the rest of the spineless tories tolerate him. At this point they are as culpable as he is for spending money on elephant parades, exhibitionist road, swanky meals in the Big Apple, loans of public money to the Corn Man to build a shrine to design! Not to mention the already failed Railtrack and The Trough Borough which is the equivalent of watching a train crash in slow motion. By stealth he then lowers the good services provided for people to that of the drivel offered by Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster? All the while ignoring local residents who are forced to pay his £70k for this incompetence because NO ONE holds him to account. Tories get off your backsides and do something about him or you will all be out at the next election, LOYAL Tory residents are FED UP with you ALL.

    1. It is interesting that your response is in capitals apparently the equivalent of shouting, but the facts are the facts the Tories have all stood by and watched the Borough disintegrate. So you are all culpable and 138' 000 residents know this. THAT is a lot of votes at deselection time. Residents are fed up with how this council has been run and WILL show their displeasure at election time.

  11. This has to be Cllr Palmer...how do I know? "HIDE BEHIDE FAKE NAMES"

Anyway, 113,138 unique visitors prove you are mad and wrong! Everybody in the Rotten Borough is reading The Dame. Long Live the Dame...

  15. Tired Tory Councillor14 October 2012 at 08:40

Oh but the Conservatives will have to move Palmer to a safer seat, they can't possibly let the dear old thing go.

Why, in 2010 he was the darling of the Tories and giving LECTURES at 1a Chelsea Manor Street on running successful campaigns. The attending faithful were enraptured.

    Not really; they were appalled.

In fact the man is equally loathed by his constituents - who he has guiled, failed and insulted - and his colleagues on the Council. They all want him to go.

However, think about this, what if you were to
create a awesome post title? I ain't saying your content is not solid, but what if you added a post title that grabbed people's attention?

I mean "A GOODBYE TO ERMINE" is kinda vanilla. You might look at Yahoo's home page and note how they create article headlines to grab people interested. You might add a video or a pic or two to get people interested about what you've got to say.
In my opinion, it would make your website a little bit more interesting.
