PLEASE HELP THE MAYOR AND DEPUTY MAYOR

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be hosting an important reception in the Mayor's Parlour on Wednesday, 7th November.

The Mayor , Cllr Buckmaster

Between 6.00-7.30pm they will be greeting residents whose hard work and enterprise this summer drove the success of the many Diamond Jubilee street parties and celebrations held in K&C.
The Mayor and Deputy want to personally thank those residents who gave up their time so the many could enjoy themselves.
The Deputy Mayor Cllr Lady Borwick

The Dame knows these public spirited individuals are often shy about coming forward to get the recognition they deserve. If you can think of residents who deserve a commemorative award why not send their names to the Mayor’s Office.

  1. The guest list for this will have been determined long ago. It will include all the usual friends and associates who probably were out of town and who would not be seen dead at a street party. After all, if there were strangers there who would the grandees talk to and they must surely be bored with each others company. I'd be delighted to know if any stranger does get in, it will be a first!

    1. In the great interest of transparency the guest list should be published on the Council web site.

In fact all guest lists to events in the Mayors Parlour should be published

What a bloody fool comment. Victoria Borwick is one of those rare Conservative councillors with decency and integrity. That is evidenced by the fact that the ghastly Pooter determined years ago that those qualities disbarred her from any serious position of responsibility. The fact that he hates her her should be a badge of honour. She would be a brilliant leader. Long live Victoria Borwick!

    1. Your bad grammar and typing skills can only be from one person.

    2. I don't think Palmer would write about Borwick as 13:18 did. In any case the grammar and 'typing skills' seem faultless-so that knocks out Palmer!
But I have to say 13:55 your comment is a real grammatical mishmash...I wonder who you might be......

    3. Long live Victoria and down with Pooter, the enemy of the residents.

  5. Cllr Borwick is indeed a beacon of probity in our Borough. A shining light. One or two of her Conservative colleagues (maybe even three or four) could learn a thing or two from her about how public servants should conduct themselves

    1. Inspector Palmer is briefing against Cllr Borwick again. It is time for Cllr Cockell to tell his poodle that this particular game is counterproductive

    2. I think, before you burst into print, you should consider the morality of someone-who some years ago, used the offices of a certain political party to make phone calls to Australia.
From what information I have the amount that the individual was forced to pay back was in excess of £500. That councillor has no business pontificating on the morality of others-particular a colleague who has the cleanest of hands.
The Dame has instructed me to provide her with names so beware Cllr XXXXXX. We know who you are and we have the evidence....
