Time To Fire NSL- Pooter

A rotten week for Sir Pooter. One piece of bad news after another...
To end the week Pooter had to read that traffic warden, Hakim Berkani-aided by public spirited Chelsea resident, Alasdair Seton-Marsden-won his claim for unfair dismissal after he stood up to contractors NSL over their draconian policies on the streets of Kensington and Chelsea. The story has become news-not just in the UK, but internationally. And the Dame has just heard it on LBC. It does demonstrate how important whistleblowers are in exposing the corrupt secrecy so embedded in the culture of the Rotten Borough.
Local Hero's Berkani and Seton-Marsden
The Employment Tribunal was shocked to hear
Mr Berkani reveal that wardens were forced to issue 10 tickets a day.
He said he and  his colleagues referred to NSL as 'Ali Baba and his 40 thieves'
Daily Mail
The civic minded warden claimed he was harassed and eventually dismissed by NSL bosses because he preferred to warn drivers they had parked illegally rather than simply give them a ticket.
The judge, Jeremy Burns ruled Mr Berkani had been wrongly sacked for opposing contractor NSL. NSL  operates in boroughs across London, including Westminster are now in a very difficult position. Far more difficult is that facing the Rotten Borough.
Extracting as much money from road users is Pooter Cockell's lazy and morally questionable way of topping up the coffers. In doing so he and "Boys Moylan can continue to build 'follies' like the £30 million Exhibition Rd. Time to fire NSL.
Below  pics of Mr Berkani's bosses. Need more be said? What a scary looking bunch! Go to http://nutsville.com/

  1. Thank you Dame for continuing to expose what an "anti resident" bunch of people we have running the Town Hall of K&C

Cllr Cockell has forgotten that he is there to represent the interests of residents and to run a tight ship.

Instead he and his team extort money wherever they can in order to indulge their personal whims like Exhibition Road

A failure of leadership. 14 years of power has corrupted Cllr Cockell

  4. Cllr Cockell needs to look at himself in the mirror every morning and ask the question:

    "What am I for?"

  5. This is a Leadership opportunity for Cllr Nick Paget-Brown

Restore civil behaviour to the parking office and make a Press Release

First shot of a Leadership campaign?

  6. Well done Dame for your continual light shining on the nasty Cockell and his bunch of lackies..

Not to defend this company or any of their actions but they have done what they have been asked to do by this
Borough. Would it not be interesting to see their contract including their targets which are set by this Borough?

  8. The Dame pays tribute to Mr Berkani and Mr Seton-Marsden.It was they who had the courage to fight this. A Mayor's Award to both?

  9. One of the NSL enforcers looks like Danny Moylan. Could it be his Eirrish cousin?

  10. Have a look at where the parking money is spent. It's all in NPB's business group and includes all kinds of extravagant expense on his personal passions - opera, Leighton House, that stupid bit of paving that cost £22m.

If we get him as Leader it will only get worse. Don't be fooled by his 'friendly' demeanour. He is a shocking snob who sneers at those who disagree with him and has total disdain for poorer residents.

  11. My dear old snobbish papa had great disdain for the Browns and Smiths of this world who think a bit of hyphenation will turn them into being toffs....I fear not. Nick Brown is just that...a social climbing nobody

  12. NSL was bought out of NCP by AAC Capital Partners, This is Netherlands based private equity partnership. They bought into NCP/NSL recognising that they could boost margins by employing a form of parking piracy. They work for many feckless councils who are too lazy or incompetent to run parking control in house: as it used to be.
The UK is now becoming a hot spot for predatory off shore spivs.
So all those profits are being siphoned off to the Dutch Antilles.
Oh and yes NSL run Westminster parking. Don't blame NSL; blame the indolent councillors who allow residents to be milch cows for greedy foreign money men
