World View

Hornet was struck today when reading in the Evening Standard news about what is happening in Libya. Its nothing to do with our neck of the woods, but I was so touched by the following statement I had to share it with you.

Damus Abdeljalil is just sixteen years old, and talking about defending his home town from any pro-Gaddafi counter-attack.

"If they come I will fight. In the last few days I have seen a new future, a better future. One in which we can live life in freedom. It is in Gods hands what happens to me, but I do not want to die. There is too much to live for."

  1. Thank you for that thought.
Sad to say we were all co-conspirators with this regime. It's wrong to blame it all the unctuous Blair. Many UK companies: many UK consultancies all helped keep this young boy shackled to oppression.
If they did not know of the oppression and brutality of Gadaffi then they are either liars or fools. But whatever they are complicit in supporting this crook and his dreadful family
