Palmer-Gate. Update 3

A sharp eyed officer has informed the Dame that Clouseau Palmer has dropped successfulpreganacy.com (yes, that's the one that used to be linked to Shagaholic and extramarital affairs.com) from his register of interests and at last come clean and registered his ownership of councilskills.com. However, this does not exonerate him in any way as his decision was forced upon him knowing that Downes had reported him.

There is also still the issue of using council facilities. Good try Palmer but you broke the rules and  trying to 'fix' it now is too late. And by the way is David Mitchell still a director? We should be told.

  1. I just don't understand this total obsession with someone just trying to make an honest living.

Nothing to see here, move along.

  2. No, I don't suppose you could possibly understand the immorality of trying to use taxpayer funded resources to promote your business.
The whole point about declaring interests is to ensure integrity and a separation of roles-that of a councillor and private individual.
Your comment shows a warped sense of judgment-no surprise there !!
I am sure you all want us to 'move along'-dreadful Americanism....

  3. I think it is about Leadership. Cockell has set the tone with his personal spending of council tax that sends out the message to fellow councillors like Palmer that "anything goes". And even the Chief Executive is prepared to turn a blind eye to the rules.

When this unfortunate state of affairs develops it is time for regime change
