MAN THE PUMPING STATIONS THIS TIME, THAMES WATER!

Thames Water..... this Tuesday storms are forecast over London. Are you ready this time?

On July 12th last year thousands of residents were flooded with sewage just because Thames Water had left the pumps unmanned so floodwater was unable to be pumped away.

Let us hope the hopelessly badly managed Thames Water has learned the lesson and will have engineers on standby at all pumping stations.

  1. It seems Thames Water habitually fails to turn on its pumps. Apparently, some 20 years ago, considerable areas of north London were flooded. Then suddenly all the floodwater simply disappeared! This all sounds very familiar. The issue should certainly be fully researched.

Not by RBKC of course. Our councillors appear to have gone AWOL. As has been previously noted, since Grenfell, Hornton Street resembles the Marie Celeste.

The Grenfell public enquiry will complete its work, and then what? We have a baleful former MP without a mandate and a current one with little more. Where are the Lib Dems when they’re needed?
